So this book happens in a span of 3 days but it still felt slow and even though I like everyone on the team I still think the detectives aren't good at All 😅

I enjoyed this book so much even though I don't know why since I didn't like the changing POVs or how dumb the detectives seemed to be  but I will definitely be reading more from this series

Whenever there is a case with too many strings to pull , the book lags in my opinion. This one had way to many villains and too many connected crimes so it made it sloppy at times.

I think the best Davenport books are one there is just one main villain

This book felt like a cozy read.  Like hanging out with friends and complaining about stupid people, it felt slow at times but I enjoyed it since it gave me a break from some gorier stuff I've been reading

My favorite Flowers book so far. I actually really like Flowers more than Davenport because he is nicer but both series are amazing and I'm glad I'm reading both simultaneously in publication order

I'm not sure if my problem with this book is the Time Jumps or the Friends to Lovers trope but this book just wasn't for me. I think I would've liked it more without all the previous summers. This is my second Emily Henry book and I liked Beach Read a little more but not by much, Im not sure if I will read any more of her books, I might buy one if its on sale but I'm sad I couldn't connect with this author because I do love contemporary romance and I haven't found any new authors I truly enjoy.
