Couldn't get it unglued from my hands. Maybe a bit of a stretch at times, but it was still an awesome book. You can never go wrong with love-hate relationships. Now I'm wondering what book number 2 will be about...

I really loved the poetry. I found the obsession with The Avett Brothers a bit disturbing. The best friend was absolutely magnificent. The little brother really sweet, if not a little too naive. The complicated love story was frustratingly compelling. Will was adorable, even if sometimes I felt like slapping him. The parent's situation was devastating. The mother's advice brilliant and spot-on. I'd definitely encourage people to read this book!

Let me just begin by saying that I honestly wanted to love this book. After reading all the brilliant and praising reviews it was given I had exceptionally high hopes for it (maybe that was my bad).
In all honesty, it wasn't a bad book, I mean, the writing was superb, the plot was fairly original (loved how it incorporated fanfiction!), and the characters were realistic (not perfect, shiny people, with perfect personalities who everyone loves). But to me it lacked a certain something, that 'X' factor if you may. It was a nice reading, but I wouldn't really recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book. This quest was interesting, the human friends got more involved (I heart Claire and Matt), the foundation for a love triangle was set, and the big final battle is fast approaching! We still don't know who Helen's real dad is, and Lucas ans Helen still think they're cousins. All in all, I recommend reading this book!

What an awesome introduction to this new world! I felt bad for Michael. If the purpose of this novella was to get people interested in the story, so they'd read the following books, then it definitely fulfilled it!
