After finishing this book, there's a new word that I hate: Epilogue.
I rooted for Caleb and Olivia to get together through the whole book, I didn't know what she had done to hurt him so badly, but I just didn't care, because to me, they were simply meant to end up with their happily ever after.
The book's ending broke my heart. I know it was the mature and reasonable thing to do, to let go of eachother, after all they only kept hurting the other. While I was finishing the book, and Olivia finally confessed everything she felt for Caleb, I thought 'and here comes the rainbows, hearts and flowers happy ending they deserve, now all there's left to do is for Caleb to kick Leah, that bitch, to the curb, and finally be with the girl he's really been in love with all along.'But nooo, they thought it would be better to live their lives separately, and she eneded up marrying the guy she met on the plane.
What I learned form this story? never tell a stranger on a plane that you're going to Italy to win back the love of your life. He'll just end up convincing you it's a bad idea and falling in love with you in the process, even though he's painfully aware of how in love you are with someone else, and knows you probably won't ever love him as much as you love this other person. Take your best frind with you instead, she'll help you accomplish your goal instead of sabotaging you!
Thank god there are two more books and this isn't really the end of Caleb and olivia's story. I'll go now, I need to see how their story continues.
