Everyone in this book pissed me off but I couldn’t get enough.
It made me deeply uncomfortable and yet I had to see it through. 
Margot you witch! She did not suffer enough for me 
Funke/Kate… I wanted more for her character and I wanted her to be tough. 
Liv you wench! I simply would not have forgiven you had it been me. 
Dominic getting off Scot-free is so typical. Foolish boy. 
Funke’s dad was terrible but then became unterrible? I don’t forgive him. Same with the grandparents 

Like I said, I deeply disliked everyone in this book. They are flawed characters.

Here’s the thing.
Cheating gives me the ick in real life and in books. I couldn’t get over her dad being unfaithful
. This dampened my enjoyment of the book and I simply could not get past it. They were okay as a couple.
This is my least favourite so far of hers. I’ve read happy place and book lovers

I finished it because it was a book club pick. I liked what it was trying to do but I don’t think it landed for me. Grant is just like me, I also love YouTube! I listened to the audiobook and I think a different narrator would have been better. I loved how the author navigated dealing with grief.
