I appreciate the very particular voice of the author and the themes which came back through the difference novels. she does body horror well and I didn't find the stories repetitive. I however found the characters quite two dimensional, one main character blending into another from short story to short story. I didn't emotionally connect with any of the novels but it was still a pleasant experience to read them!

intéressant mais j'ai bien peur, qu'après 500 pages, de n'avoir concrètement aucune idée des attributs du baroque ou du classicisme aïe

fun to read and immersive, i always fall for jackson's main characters. you can feel the tension building and are kept in by a distinctive familiar horror sensation throughout the whole book.

this book was incredibly informative and I really appreciated the effort that the author put in to recenter female characters, I enjoyed the recurrent weaving theme a lot. the author draws the stories from ancient sources but sometimes deviates from them, i wish these deviations were more clearly pointed out so as to have a better understanding of the ancient greeks' culture. overall a very fun and immersive read :))
