This book took a lot for me to get through. It was by no means a bad book I just felt like there was a lot going on yet nothing at all constantly throughout the whole book. I loved our Characters though Tenah was really quick to get on my nerves often during the book. I will pick up the next one to see where the story takes us but just know it is a slower to the plot and romance type of book.

I went into this book without to much to go on just the words gothic romance and while it was gothic and it did have a great romance this book reminded me more of a thriller type book with the plot laid out how it was and the turns it took but I was engrossed in the story and the lives of the characters. Even with the story only being from Millie's POV the Author had a way of making you see the book through others as well in the descriptions and writing you could see it all unfolding and helped in understanding what was going on. It was a good story and am truly happy it was a 1 and done book I feel like it was the perfect length to wrap up the main points in the way a good thriller mystery does.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Loved this book so much. I honestly did not think I could love these character anymore than I did in the forst book but I was so wrong. We got a bigger chance to more some of the characters that were not in the first one as often and it made you live some much more hate some more then you already did and some even seemed to get redemption. This Duology was wonderfully written and Bash and Jovie will stay in my heart forever.

This was an easy read and a great story. It was easy to fall in love with Alma our FMC she is independent and relatable while still being real and not overly complex. The story was smoothly written and easy to follow I would consider it a low-stakes Romance with some Fantasy. There were not many parts in the book that had me worried for our Character but the relationships were built nicely and the challenges were met with the appropriate attention.

Thank you for the ARC
As an avid reader of A.K Mulford's books, I was so excited to receive this book as an ARC to read. A.K Mulford has this magic when it comes to making worlds and characters that you can not only imagine but relate to in such a deeply emotional way. I love her Crowns of Okrith books and this one lives up to her writing style. Calla was so relatable and Grea was by far one of my favorite MMCs their journey through the land and their journey of discovery both apart and together showed so much growth. I loved of course all the side characters whom I can already see who will have their own books and I can not wait for those stories.

Thank you Booksirens for this ARC of The Dragon's Rose.
It took me a bit to get into this world and the story as is normal with most first books in a series but the characters were easy to love and grow with and the plot was just intriguing enough to keep my attention and keep me reading. I think the second half of this book Definity carried the whole book. through it all I had a rollercoaster of emotions and found my self rooting for the main characters and adoring the side character so much that I wanted to hug them and laugh with them This story gave you a story of self discovery and confidence with a splash of Romance and over all was a good book I will be continuing the series when the next book comes out.
