What a beautifully written love story! Having been born and raised in Maine I really enjoyed reading this book from my home state. I can't wait to read the follow-up next!

I absolutely LOVED this book and couldn't bare to put it down! I read the entire thing in one day and I don't understand why this book isn't talked about more often! This is the first book that I've ever read that I immediately wanted to re-read again right after finishing it!

I originally started reading this story myself and was eight chapters in when I decided to begin following along with the audible narration. I was loving the story but found myself struggling to read it on my own due to it's long chapters and the Authors intricate details written throughout. From the second I started the narration, I was enthralled! Narrator Kevin Kenerly brought Tom Franklin's story to life and I became more and more engaged then ever in the story the longer I listened and followed along. I highly recommend listening to the narration as you read this book, because it will make the story that much better! Tom Franklin did a stunning job writing this novel and his attention to detail is beyond impressive. If you enjoy reading mystery and police procedural novels then you will absolutely enjoy this book!

I don't think I have ever read a story more painful and gut wrenching then this one. The Author did an excellent job re-telling the events through the POV of those involved. This one is going to haunt me for quite awhile, I can feel it...

I really enjoyed this book and flew through it so fast! It was an extremely easy ready, so I recommend giving this book a chance if you're looking for something simple to read. I was surprised by the twist near the end, kudos to the Author for not making it glaringly obvious at the end! I think if the Author did a little more fine tuning of Jane and Eddie's awkward relationship it would have been a five star. It was just slightly too unbelievable if that makes sense.

I chose this book as one of the two free books for January's free prime reading on Amazon. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to other people! I think I would change my rating to five stars if some parts didn't feel so repetitive. Regardless, I really loved this book and enjoyed the plot very much!

Sigh... I should have just DNF'd this book. The only reason why I read it from beginning to end was because it was part of my "Reading Across The USA" challenge for Florida. Had it not been part of my challenge I would have DNF'd this at page 50 when it became clear how absolutely boring it was.

I didn't start getting interested in the book until halfway through part two when Anna's POV of events started being explained more in detail. I honestly wish the Author would have started the book out with a bit of Anna's backstory instead of it starting out with Gavin's POV that literally had nothing to do with the entire plot of the book.

In the end the book went sailing across the room like Anna's paper plane. My farewell words to the book a frustrated and disappointed "I'm sorry".

To add insult to injury...
The ending was as dull as I expected it to be.
