I truly don't know if I'll ever be able to put into words how much this book has meant to me... Maybe one day I'll be able to sit down and explain it.

For now I'll just say this...

This book somehow broke my heart and healed it all at the same time. I'm left with so many feelings and emotions that I know I'll be thinking about for days.

P.S. Just keep swimming... 🖤

It's not often that a book of this genre ends with a twist that leaves me utterly speechless and my head reeling trying to play catch up! P.J. Vernon did an excellent job creating an unexpected twist that'll leave you saying "What did I just read?!" I enjoyed reading this novel very much and I look forward to reading more of his writing in the future.

Where. Do. I. Even. Start.

First of all, I'd just like to get off my chest how absolutely PEEVED I am at the "Investigators" in this book! If it was the Authors intention to make you absolutely irate at their absolutely terrible excuse of solving a case, then she hit the nail on the head! I spent so many moments wanting to throw the book near the end because of how far off base they were!

Secondly, how absolutely sick, twisted and selfish do you have to be to withhold evidence and make a grieving Father think he finally has his daughter back just to have it ripped away again?! Carmen, you're an evil wretched bitch!

Now that those pent up feelings are off my chest... I absolutely LOVED this book! It far surpassed my expectations and the Author did a stellar job! I was FLOORED when I discovered
that Bea was the killer AND kidnapper.
Something I wasn't expecting to happen whatsoever. Truly, I wish I could rate this book more then 5 stars! It was without a doubt a 10 out of 10 and I think this book deserves a place on my bookcase permanently!

Lisa Jewell did phenomenal writing such a bizarre, twisted and heart wrenchingly painful story. I was impressed to have had the opportunity to read accounts from not one, not two, but three points of views throughout the progression of the story. Perfectly painting the scene of events from start to finish. I think the icing on the cake for me was the very ending. It was the last tug at the heart expertly wrapping up the book.

My only wish for this book is that the Author would have turned it into a story versus a book of letters like it so greatly deserves!
