I found Mia as a narrator a bit difficult at first, but really grew to love her. I enjoyed the mystery, the characters were great, and it covered a lot of topics in a fast paced, yet emotional story that keeps you guessing.

I really enjoyed this audiobook! The narrator's quirks, observations, and analyses kept the story from becoming tedious or boring. It's not an action packed book, but a unique perspective of a regular life, with vivid characters. The narration of the audiobook was great.

I liked this fine, but I don't think it will stick with me. A book about sisters with an awful woman for a mother, who are very different and have some ups and downs through their adult lives.

I really liked this book, it is very different from anything I've read before. Vivid, often disturbing imagery, lots of occult and supernatural happenings, and characters that felt alive. I didn't love the ending, it felt rushed and like a deflated balloon after such a long and interesting build up, but I also feel like a sigh of relief, hoping Gaspar is finally able to find peace.

I'm glad that Britney was able to tell her story in her own words after decades of control, manipulation, and isolation. It's upsetting and very sad that her family were the main perpetrators of her suffering, and I'm happy this book ended on a hopeful and positive note.

This book is about grief, it's beautifully written, and unflinchingly heartfelt. I am glad I finally picked this one up.

This is an entertaining audiobook, silly and cute, as I expected. I wish I could have seen the section of photos. Hearing them described was pretty funny though.

This is one of the stranger books I've read recently, and I had no idea this was part of a series. The narrator of the audiobook did a great job of giving every character a distinct voice. Not sure I totally understand what happened, but it was a fast and wild ride.
Sea Change by Gina Chung

3.5
The audiobook was good. I didn't love the story, it felt pretty aimless for the first half, and Ro came across to me as kind of whiny. But this book is about grief, and being stuck, and how people deal (or don't deal) with significant loss.

I feel this book was over-hyped, but it is an easy read, a pretty fun and lighthearted book that deals with racism from multiple angles. There are some uncomfortable moments, and definitely cringe moments. I didn't really care about any of the characters, though they were realistic. The narration of the audiobook was excellent.
