Cool and interesting view of what a world looks like in which we can totally modify our bodies and the difference between organic life and synthetic life becomes more and more obscured.

The world setting is great.
I only rated it 4 stars because the rhythm of the story is a bit off and kinda slow.

If you really want to make me instantly depressed, tell me: "Oh sure you can travel the world with your family while your kids are still young. Just wait till they get to school!"

I really dred the fact that (Dutch) law requires my kids to be in this brick and mortar school all day, every day, from the day they turn 5.
For me this it's a prison sentence.

But I'm also a non-conformist. I believe there is always a way.
So that's why I'm reading books like World Schooling, to see what paths others before me took to inspire me so I can craft a plan for my family and my kids' education.

This book lays out clearly the different philosophies of home schooling and how to combine that with traveling. It tells of lots of families and their way of educating their kids. Inspiring and informative. It sure sparked some ideas :)

Interesting setting, but the storytelling was lacking. All mayor conflicts seemed to be resolved by a sudden rescue appearance by a character who just showed new "amazing" powers. Lazy writing.

Awesome to read sci-fi from 70 years ago.
It's interesting how the world evolved, but some ideas still are futuristic

What if, there is not 1 universe, but a multiverse of worlds, each one a branch of a tree with a different outcome. Like, one world where I write this review, and one where I don't.
And what if, there is a way to travel between these worlds. What would happen?

Pretty hard stuff to wrap your head around, right?

Dark Matter is a trilling read, it explores this weird part of quantum mechanics theory that explains that this multiverse could actually be real.

Go read it and expand your mind!

WOW, just WOW.

This book was a rollercoaster.
It certainly punches you in the gut when it makes you realise how totally fucked our climate is becoming and what the consequences are.
I became so depressed that I almost couldn't take it anymore and wanted to quit the book.

I'm glad that I didn't, as the second part sparks a shimmer of hope.
It's not too late yet.
But things need to change drastically and fast.

The book outlines the Extinction Rebellion strategy to push governments to do what is necessary to save our way of life. The strategy non-violent and is distilled from history and scientific research.

We still have a bit of time to turn things around, but we have to act now.
Or do you rather explain to tell your (grant)children why you didn't try to save their future?

I am on board.
Are you?
