World Schooling: How to Revolutionize Your Child's Education Through Travel by Brenda Brave, Ashley Dymock de Tello
4.0
If you really want to make me instantly depressed, tell me: "Oh sure you can travel the world with your family while your kids are still young. Just wait till they get to school!"
I really dred the fact that (Dutch) law requires my kids to be in this brick and mortar school all day, every day, from the day they turn 5.
For me this it's a prison sentence.
But I'm also a non-conformist. I believe there is always a way.
So that's why I'm reading books like World Schooling, to see what paths others before me took to inspire me so I can craft a plan for my family and my kids' education.
This book lays out clearly the different philosophies of home schooling and how to combine that with traveling. It tells of lots of families and their way of educating their kids. Inspiring and informative. It sure sparked some ideas :)
