I don't read a lot of YA, but vampires 🤷‍♀️ dark academia, enemies to lovers vibes, and an MC with lots of rage and a murder problem.

This was SO messy (compliment). I love Downing's writing. This is a binge book.

This was claustrophobic, had tension, and weird. It still didn't scare me. It was missing something for me. I kept waiting for it, and it didn't come. The beginning started off good, then the middle dragged. The end picked up again. That middle section just lost all the intensity for me.

I really wanted to love this. I feel like it was missing something. It didn't have that fear for me. It wasn't scary, just random. The end was lack luster for me. I was overall a bit disappointed. It just didn't give for me.

Absolutely brilliant horror. No notes. AI is terrifying and this is a perfect example. The premise alone was so good, and well written. It was impossible to sit still and read this.

Well this is adorable. Our MC wakes up with no eyebrows, in a wrecked workshop, wondering who the dread Lord is... Then realizes HE is. This was a comedic fantasy that I loved. It is silly, and ridiculous, and I actually giggled 😂 Such a fun read!

This was HEAVY, but still has the Marrs twists you expect. Lots of POVs. Please check tw/cw as this one might be trickier to navigate. The AI discussions really make you think. There is a lot of triggers and conversations around children and trauma in this one (hence...  Heavy). As always, lots of Easter eggs to his previous books.

Stop it rn! An this book was made for people who love RPGs and fun. Carl was outside trying to help his girlfriend's cat when the world ends and now he is in and alien apocalypse TV show that is so dangerous and strange. This book made me cackle more times than I can count! IT IS SO GOOD! Sidenote: long live Mongo!

For the love of God please read this! I'm begging 🥲

I enjoyed the stories and the history in this one.  I appreciate the lore, but I don't believe in ghosts (don't come for me, I support you if you love the idea of haunting someone until they have a grippy sock vacation). Regardless where you stand this was not a ghosthunter book and instead very much history and story based. I liked the audio

Safe to say that I was not expecting half of the topics in this one. Most definitely didn't see face mites coming. Also, which pet is most likely to eat your face if you 💀? Are dogs mouths clean REALLY? (Spoiler, no). This is packed with random, dark & gory facts that I'm now side questing.
