I love this series so much. This one and the immortal highlander aren’t as spicy but the stories Moning lays out are so wonderful.

This booked moved me. In ways that I’m not sure any other have. I traveled through time and fell in love too. I want to hug this author for giving me such a beautiful and exquisite experience. It was absolutely wonderful!!!

Likely the least favorite of the series so far because it was less romance and more historical fiction than the others. Not in any extreme way and still steamy! 100% worth the read but just didn’t touch me quite in the way that kiss if the highlander did. I have read them out of order for ages so perhaps that’s why.

WARNING: (despite there being none anywhere that I could see on the book itself) This is a Christian Fiction Romance. And a boring one. It was written like a journal more than a novel. I was well on my way to the 300th page before I realized NOTHING HAD HAPPENED YET. It was just switching between a few people in present and past talking about to their lives. It was horribly predictable. And the proposal at the end was the epitome of cringe.

The God-Talk was unintentionally placed and incredibly sermon-like. Thrown in whenever it fit the author’s fancy. And forcibly. It started slow with mere mention of God like okay perhaps the writer is just a believer and tossed that in there - then grew into something that was trying really hard but failing to be a conclusion of relying on God and turning to him for everything, giving everything to him. I was honestly skimming AT BEST the last 100 pages waiting for the points I’d already figured out to be made.

In the author’s defense (kind of Bc they should have put somewhere that it’s faith based) I am a dark romance/erotica girlie and this was a thrift store check out line find. Serves me right - this book was PAINFUL to read. But I am open to admitting it just wasn’t my cup of tea and I didn’t know it because there was nothing to point me in another direction. I’m down for a vanilla, feel good romance but this was scarcely a long winded thought of a novel.

Not as attached to this one as I am the others in this series but still a great book.

This was not a retelling of Peter Pan just like the trigger warning suggested. It was better and hotter. The story went smoothly and didn’t take forever to bring itself to conclusions. Not drug out. Super spicy!!

This was the definition of slow burn. Turns out the trigger warning is really for how long it takes for the “climax” because it hurt so good. The ending is very very similar to the first book “hooked”. I haven’t read the other two so I’m not sure if those are the same.

This was really good book just so similar to the others in this series. Would recommend and read again.

I love the twins stories more than anything in this series. I only have two to go and I’m so sad about it. I can’t wait to the read them in another ten years. Dageus is every woman’s fantasy and if you say he isn’t you’re a liar and you’re wrong. Enjoy this spicy read

I loved this book so much and loved that it included the twins. I wish this series could go on and on.
