i enjoyed this!
although i couldn’t relate to the main themes of this book, i loved the story of platonic love and self discovery, it was moving.
it was extremely cringe at times with the constant pop culture references (i had to shut the book every time georgia mentioned fanfic tropes)
and i felt like it couldve been a bit shorter? i still read it in the span of less than 24 hours.

5 fucking stars. first of all the writing in this book was so beautiful, i just couldnt stop reading when i picked it up. there are so many words that i want to say about this book but i dont know where to start. I DID NOT EXPECT THIS TO BE GAY???? i started shipping james and oliver since the start but thought i was just delusional AND THEN THEY TURN OUT TO BE ACTUAL LOVERS. the way oliver sacrificed himself for james was just so sad, and the way oliver talked about james to colbrone… they were so in love but never actually talked about it with eachother :( the jumping between the times was so cool and UGH i just cant this book was so good. why the fuck did the ending have to be so sad tho. like i was not expecting that and i was SOBBING when i read it. it was really cool to see how their friendgroup slowly was falling apart because of the guilt from the ‘accident’, how all the characters slowly turned into a similar version of richard. the last words in the book made me wonder for so long, if james is actually still alive..

another good book from alice oseman, she never misses. i really enjoyed the characters and reading this. i liked reading about the academic problems and all that stuff because im soon to graduate and it made me feel a little bit more calmer that school doesnt matter THAT much and that theres future with doing what you want, not what youre supposed to do. thank you for this book!!!!

from the first 50 pages, i knew this was gonna be a five star ⭐️
i cant remember the last time a romance book had me acting like this?!? i was giggling and kicking my feet through out the entirety of this book.
perfect banter, fight scenes, world building, tension and chemistry. i couldn’t ask for anything more (other than the next book. im still sobbing whenever i remember the ending.)
