It's understandable how this is an origin adventure tale, but we have evolved into a better adventute story telling people. Retellings are where it's at.

A old fashioned story told in an old fashioned way. It's dark and whimsical at the same time. It's an alternative origin story of our dear St. Nick and a fascinating way to read about how Santa came into being and how he started sharing toys and joy with the children of the world. It tells of how Santa evolved into the hero we know today.
