the literal definition of no plot just vibes. though i did enjoy the classical references and watching the characters be faced with moral dilemmas, it was not worth slogging through the slowest writing over and feeling like nothing has happened yet so much had at the same time.

tiktok overhyped this book so much. also read the trigger warnings as well because the tiktok girlies do not warn you about the blatant homophobia.

A stunning memoir about a poet's return to Palestine after thirty years of exile. Full of beautiful, visceral description and anecdotes of the those he has, and has not, reunited with. His lyrical prose has persuaded me to read his poetry one day too.

moby-dick is the bane of my existence, and NOT the object of all of my desires.

one of life's many questions is why on earth did melville make this sooo incredibly long?? i enjoyed some parts and disliked the rest. did not finish.
