this was good, although nowhere near as good as the first one. i cant help but compare it to this time tomorrow and past present future, even though the stories are pretty different. i just think that duology did this kind of story better. i did love the romcom epigraphs for each chapter, but i wanted more romcom vibes and references in the actual book. also some of the dialogue felt unrealistic. and liz felt like a different character. wes was still wonderful, though, and i loved the found family, and this was very emotional. i think it would have been more emotional if they had explicitly talked about the fact that they had both lost parents and talked about their situations in regards to thatthis review is also all over the place oops lol
my first erin langston, definitely not my last. i loved the characters, and i even thought the third act conflict was done really well. also i loved belle’s family
obviously a solid read since it is a veronica speedwell mystery, but it isnt my favorite because the first 40% was a little bit boring to me. i honestly think it was because the chapters are kinda long.
i wish this had ended after the thing with elias’s dad. it felt like she was trying to tie up loose ends that weren’t there. also, i love to suspend disbelief, but the way everything worked out in this book was maybe a little too convenient. overall, though, elias and sage were great together, and also i love the cover lol
