I remember why I loved these so much as a kid!! Smart, witty, so sweet. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Books saved Liesel Meminger's life - in more ways than one.

Such a big story told from the vantage of a small world. I appreciate a book that can tell such a story from a child's perspective while still deeply respecting their characters and giving them real growth, but preserving the naivety and innocence that makes them children.

An odd dreamy perplexing collection. Not all of them were hits for me but enough that it's a positive review. Lots of punch in short packages! I found Damascus 5* particularly impactful.

Beautifully captures the ennui of being in your twenties, figuring out who you are and how you relate to other people, working in a job that doesn't satisfy but not knowing what else to do, moving, navigating relationships with partners and coworkers and aging parents and yourself. It's a story for those of us lost in this decade.

I found the meandering structure a bit challenging to follow at times.

There was something so melancholy, so full of longing about this book. One of the most effective uses of multiple POVs I've read in a long time and at no point could I predict where the story was going (in a good way).

This was a fun one! A really interesting take on an old concept - I liked the idea that bureaucracy has a place in time travel. The characters were so charming!
I didn't love the end but I didn't hate it either. Would've liked a few more questions answered.

Not the right time for me to read this one.

This is a dark and haunting and captivating read. Claire Fuller knows how to get under your skin. Couldn't put it down once I hit 50%.

I love a found family/finding family story as much as the next girl but this left me wanting more from the characters and the plot. Pacing was a bit off, things were a little underdeveloped. I saw the potential of this, though!

A challenging look at a mysterious religion through the eyes of a child. As her family fractures, she must make sense of the world she's in. I loved the narration choices in this - feel like there was a bit more story to tell.
