I was very excited about this book but once I got to the praise of people like Bezos, I knew it wasn't for me.

This collection is brilliant, it's hard to find a mediocre poem within and there are too many good ones to pick a favourite.
I loved Being Boring, After the Lunch, Seeing You, Dutch Portraits, Evidence, A Vow, Some More Light Verse, Absent Friends.

And I found He Tells Her and Men Talking so wonderfully cheeky

Nothing special, probably because I don't know the characters and I'm only reading it for a book club. Maybe in context of the other books it would be more meaningful.

It was pretty interesting but a bit less so than the one about peasants. So far the most memorable part was his made up army numbers were, I had no idea how random and unreliable it was.

It was surprisingly readable, I had great time and learned so much! I will definitely reach for other books by the author.
Who knew one could write about types of roofs in an interesting way xd

It was a really unique tale, I've never considered disaster tourism before picking up this book but I feel it pictures its unethical side pretty well.

This book was so fun, I loved how whimsical the narration was, it really felt kid-centered.

I borrowed it from the library not knowing what it's about, since it doesn't have a blurb. I'm not in the mood to read about genocide and forests turned into graves, hence the dnf.

I'm not sure I understood it fully but it was so beautiful and true, I might have cried.

I didn't vibe with the writing style and I didn't really like the characters either. It felt like a badly done stream of consciousness.
