Genre & Tropes : romance suspensex betrayal plot x enemies to lovers x forced proximity x almost grumpy / sunshine

Une romance dans le monde de Navesink Bank qui fait partie de mes préférés de cette auteure

Je dois avouer que j'ai longtemps hésité avant de commencer ce tome parce que j'ai un peu de mal avec les héros qui sont à la tête d'un cartel de drogues (je sais je sais, pas très logique quand je vois que la moitié de mes personnages préférés sont des horribles personnes ><) mais finalement, j'ai décidé de me laisser tenter ... Et ce fut un immense coup de coeur !

J'ai adoré Andres qui m'a complétement conquise avec son intelligence, son amour des livres (Je parlerais pas de la scène où il lit la romance dans la bibliothèque à Hope <3) et ses chiens, son côté très détendu (... jusqu'à ce que Hope soit en danger ><) mais aussi son côté badass sans pitié ! Et j'ai adoré le voir petit à petit franchir les réserves d'Hope qui était tellement "renfrogné" !

L'intrigue avec le traître était pleine de tensions et de rebondissements et bien sûr la fin était géniale (cette image d'Andres lisant à ses enfants <3)

Bref, une romance sexy et forte en tensions que j'ai dévoré !

PS : il faut tellement que je lise le tome avec les parents de Hope, ça m'a rendue très curieuse =)

PS2 : j'adorais un livre sur Luna !

A romance in the world of Navesink Bank which is one of my favorites by this author

I must admit that I hesitated for a long time before starting this book : I have a bit of trouble with heroes who are at the head of a drug cartel (I know I know, not very logical when half of my favorite characters are horrible villains ><) but finally, I decided to give it a try ... And it was a huge love-at-first-read !

I loved Andres who completely won me over with his intelligence, his love of books (I won't talk about the scene where he reads the romance in the library to Hope <3) and his dogs, his very relaxed side (... until Hope is in danger ><) but also his merciless badass side ! And I loved seeing him gradually overcome the reservations of Hope who was so "frowny / grumpy" !

The plot with the traitor was full of tension and twists and of course the ending was great (this image of Andres reading to his children <3)

In short, a sexy and tense romance that I devoured !

PS: I really have to read the book with Hope's parents, it made me very curious =)

PS2: I'd love a book about Luna !

Une romance sexy et forte en tensions que j'ai lu avec beaucoup de plaisir

Comme je suis dans une phase Jessica Gadziala et romance un chouia dark mais sexy, je n'ai pas pu résister à l'idée de lire l'histoire de Pagan, Monsieur le-biker-qui-tombera-jamais-amoureux ... Et qui finalement tombe sous le charme de Kennedy, Mademoiselle Bosseuse-j'ai-la-poisse !

J'ai beaucoup aimé l'histoire avec Ethan (même si j'ai trouvé sa fin un peu facile =)) et j'ai adoré l'épilogue (surtout les difficultés qu'ils ont à avoir un enfant ... Ca change des héros de romance qui ont toujours quinze enfants dans l'épilogue xD)

Bref, une romance de bikers sexy parfaite pour se distraire !

PS : je veux un Benny =)

A sexy and high-tension romance that I read with great pleasure

As I am in a Jessica Gadziala and a bit dark but sexy romance phase, I couldn't resist the idea of ​​reading the story of Pagan, Mr. Biker-Who-Will-Never-Fall-In-Love ... And who finally falls under the spell of Kennedy, Miss Workinggirl-I-have-bad-luck !

I really liked the story with Ethan (even if I found his ending a bit easy =)) and I loved the epilogue (especially the difficulties they have in having a child ... It's a change from the romance heroes who always have fifteen children in the epilogue xD)

In short, a sexy biker romance perfect for fun !

PS: I want a Benny =)

Une romance paranormale que j'ai lu avec plaisir

Après avoir relu une grosse partie des livres de Cynthia Eden (je recommande tellement sa série Wilde Ways qui est géniale), je suis tombée par hasard sur cette romance qui est dans le même univers que Night Watch et ça a été une lecture agréable !

La romance était un peu facile mais j'ai surtout adoré l'intrigué avec tous les mensonges et les trahisons et je dois avouer que j'adorais avoir d'autres tomes avec Caleb, Dane ou Piers !

Bref, une romance paranormale qui est parfaite pour se distraire !

A paranormal romance that I read with pleasure

After rereading a large part of Cynthia Eden's books (I highly recommend her Wilde Ways series which is great), I stumbled upon this romance which is in the same universe as Night Watch and it was a pleasant read !

The romance was a bit easy but I especially loved the plot with all the lies and betrayals and I must admit that I'd love having other books with Caleb, Dane or Piers !

In short, a paranormal romance that is perfect for having a light read !

Le dernier tome tant attendu de la série des frères Carter

Globalement ça a été une lecture agréable ... Mais aussi un peu décevante =S

J'ai beaucoup aimé l'histoire avec l'héroïne qui devient aveugle suite à une hémorragie cérébrale (d'autant plus que c'est quelque chose qui me touche personnellement ...) et j'ai bien aimé sa relation avec Garrett !

MAIS

J'ai eu l'impression de relire l'histoire de Trance et Viddy de Kevlar To My Vest (qui reste l'un de mes tomes préférés !) mais en moins bien >< Il m'a manquée une intrigue plus poussée et plus dramatique (l'histoire de l'ex aurait pu aller beaucoup plus loin ! Et j'aurais voulu plus de dramas avec Delphine et Melody !)

Bref, une romance que j'ai lu avec plaisir et qui conclue la série des frères Carter ! Ce n'est pas ma série préférée de cette auteure même si j'ai adoré certains tomes, notamment I Can't Even !

The long-awaited final book of the Carter brothers series

Overall it was a pleasant read ... But also a little disappointing =S

I really liked the story with the heroine who goes blind following a brain hemorrhage (especially since it's something that affects me personally ...) and I really liked her relationship with Garrett !

BUT

I felt like I was rereading the story of Trance and Viddy from Kevlar To My Vest (which remains one of my favorite books !) but not as good >< I missed a more in-depth and more dramatic plot (the story of the ex could have gone much further ! And I would have liked more drama with Delphine and Melody !)

In short, a romance that I read with pleasure and which concludes the Carter brothers series ! It's not my favorite series by this author even if I loved some books, especially I Can't Even !

Le premier tome d'une série qui m'a ravi et l'un de mes tomes favoris de cette auteure

Quand j'ai vu que Cynthia Eden allait sortir une nouvelle série de romance à suspense, j'étais absolument RAVIE et après avoir lu ce premier tome, j'ai hyper hâte de découvrir toute cette nouvelle série !

J'ai adoré Tyler en US Marshall sexy et grognon mais aussi très protecteur et Esme, la voleuse française (j'adore la "french touch" <3) au passé compliqué !

L'intrigue était tordue avec beaucoup de corruption et de trahison (dont certains assez inattendus) et la romance sexy mais avec du angst et des côtés mignons aussi !

Bref, une romance à suspense sexy et sous haute tension que j'ai dévoré !

PS : je veux des tomes avec tous les amis de Tyler !!

The first book of a series that delighted me and one of my favorite books by this author

When I saw that Cynthia Eden was going to release a new suspense romance series, I was absolutely DELIGHTED and after reading this first book, I can't wait to discover this whole new series !

I loved Tyler as a sexy and grumpy but also very protective US Marshall and Esme, the French thief (I love the "French touch" <3) with a complicated past !

The plot was twisted with a lot of corruption and betrayal (some of which were quite unexpected) and the romance was sexy but with angst and cute sides too !

In short, a sexy and high-tension suspense romance that I devoured !

PS : I want books with all of Tyler's friends !!

ENFIN le tome avec Anthony que j'attendais avec impatience !

Depuis le temps qu'on voyait Anthony dans les précédents tomes (et tous ses accidents xD), j'attendais avec impatience qu'il ait son propre tome !

Et j'ai adoré revoir Saylor (qu'on avait déjà vu dans les tomes de Navesink Bank Henchmen MC) !

L'intrigue était intéressante avec la mafia tchèque (et horrible !!) et j'ai adoré la romance entre Anthony et Saylor avec toute la tension mais aussi les moments mignons et sexy !

Bref, une romance de mafia étonnamment mignonne que j'ai lu avec plaisir !

PS : je veux un tome avec Miko !!

FINALLY the book with Anthony that I was impatiently waiting for !

Since we've seen Anthony in the previous books (and all his accidents xD), I was impatiently waiting for him to have his own book !

And I loved seeing Saylor again (who we had already seen in the Navesink Bank Henchmen MC books) !

The plot was interesting with the Czech mafia (and horrible !!) and I loved the romance between Anthony and Saylor with all the tension but also the cute and sexy moments !

In short, a surprisingly cute mafia romance that I read with pleasure !

PS : I want a book with Miko !!

Genre & Tropes : YA fantasy x YA romance x Christmas x fairy tale vibes x beautifully illustrated x novella

Une romance de Noël parfaite pour les fans de Stephanie Garber mais aussi pour les fans de Noël !

Je précise d'abord qu'il faut ABSOLUMENT avoir ce livre en version papier parce que les illustrations de Rosie Fowinkle sont absolument magnifiques et pourront mieux être appréciées en version papier !
Et en plus, le livre est une véritable œuvre d'art >< (je n'ai pour l'instant "que" l'édition Waterstones mais j'aurais bientôt celle d'Hodderscape vu que j'ai commandé le coffret complet de la série =D)

Ce livre est un peu spécial pour moi parce que j'ai eu la chance de l'avoir entre mes mains avec tout un tas de goodies dès minuit comme j'étais présente pour la soirée spéciale au Waterstones du Trafford Centre à Manchester (qui était absolument géniale !) et je l'ai donc lu (et déjà relu) dans la foulée !

L'univers est toujours aussi magique avec un côté conte de fée qui m'a tout de suite transportée (et toutes les illustrations au fil des pages ont bien aidé !) et j'ai beaucoup aimé la petite intrigue autour de la recherche du cadeau de Noël parfait pour Legend =D

Alors oui si vous êtes des gros fans de Julian et Scarlett ou si vous espériez un apparition de Jacks, vous serez peut-être un peu déçu (pas de Jacks et Julian et Scarlett sont bien là mais pas au premier plan) mais si vous êtes comme moi, hyper fan de Legend et Tella, ce tome est pour vous =D J'ai beaucoup aimé les revoir et découvrir qu'ils continuaient leurs petits jeux avec kidnapping, illusions et énigmes =D

J'ai eu la chance d'avoir l'épilogue spéciale de l'édition Waterstones et ça me donne TELLEMENT d'espoir qu'on aura une autre nouvelle avec un

Caraval spécial mariage et des bébés dragons

Bref, une romance de Noël YA avec une ambiance très conte de fées qui m'a enchanté du début à la fin !
Un indispensable pour les fans de Stephanie Garber mais aussi une bonne manière de découvrir ce merveilleux univers !

A perfect Christmas romance for Stephanie Garber fans but also for Christmas fans !

I must first specify that you ABSOLUTELY have this book in hardback because the illustrations by Rosie Fowinkle are absolutely magnificent and will be better appreciated in hardback !
And what's more, the book is a real work of art >< (I "only" have the Waterstones edition for now but I'll soon have the Hodderscape edition since I ordered the complete box set of the series =D)

This book is a bit special for me because I was lucky enough to have it in my hands with a whole bunch of goodies at midnight as I was present for the special evening at Waterstones in the Trafford Centre in Manchester (which was absolutely brilliant !) and so I read it (and already reread it) straight away !

The universe is still as magical with a fairy tale side that immediately transported me (and all the illustrations throughout the pages helped a lot !) and I really liked the little plot around the search for the perfect Christmas present for Legend =D

So yes if you are big fans of Julian and Scarlett or if you were hoping for an appearance of Jacks, you might be a little disappointed (no Jacks and Julian and Scarlett are there but not in the foreground) but if you are like me, a huge fan of Legend and Tella, this novellais for you =D I really liked seeing them again and discovering that they continued their little games with kidnapping, illusions and puzzles =D

This scene with the blindfold and the ties <3

I was lucky enough to have the special epilogue of the Waterstones edition and it gives me SO much hope that we will have a another novella with a

Caraval wedding special and baby dragons

=D

In short, a YA Christmas romance with a very fairy tale atmosphere that enchanted me from beginning to end !
A must-read for Stephanie Garber fans but also a good way to discover this wonderful universe !

Probablement l'un de mes tomes préférés dans la série sur la famille mafieuse des Costa

Après avoir appris son arrestation dans le précédent tome, j'étais HYPER curieuse de savoir exactement ce qui s'était passé avec Cosimo ! Et j'ai absolument ADORE découvrir Halle qui était tellement courageuse et mignonne et voir Cosimo se transformer en chevalier blanc (en version plus dark et plus sexy XD La scène dans le grand magasin ... PFIOULALA !)

J'aurais aimé plus de rebondissements dans l'intrigue mais en même temps, j'ai adoré le rôle de Silvano =)

Bref, une romance mafieuse sexy que j'ai dévoré !

PS : il nous faut TOTALEMENT un livre avec Venezio et Miko !

Probably one of my favorite books in the series about the Costa mafia family

After learning of his arrest in the previous book, I was SUPER curious to know exactly what happened with Cosimo ! And I absolutely LOVED discovering Halle who was so brave and cute and seeing Cosimo transform into a white knight (in a darker and sexier version XD The scene in the department store ... PFIOULALA !)

I would have liked more twists in the plot but at the same time, I loved the role of Silvano =)

In short, a sexy mafia romance that I devoured !

PS: we TOTALLY need a book with Venezio and Miko !

Une romance de la seconde chance que j'ai lu avec plaisir avec des personnages qui ont vécu des moments très difficiles

Ceci est le deuxième tome de cette série et j'ai bien aimé ce tome comme le précédent avec des personnages qui ont vécu des trucs tellement horribles (mais l'ex de Sebastian !! Et la famille de Rowan !!) !

Mais comme le précédent, j'aurais souhaité plus de détails sur les mensonges de Jake, sur ce qui s'était passé exactement avec l'ex de Sebastian, sur les raisons derrière le comportement de la famille de Rowan ... Tout est sous-entendu et donc ça manque de détails !

Petit détail : comme le précédent tome, ce sont des personnages qui ont vécu des moments très douloureux donc attention aux triggers !

Bref, une romance que j'ai lu avec plaisir !

A second chance romance that I read with pleasure with characters who have lived through very difficult times

This is the second book of this series and I really liked this book like the previous one with characters who have lived through such horrible things (Sebastian's ex !! And Rowan's family !!)!

But like the previous one, I would have liked more details on Jake's lies, on what exactly happened with Sebastian's ex, on the reasons behind Rowan's family's behavior ... Everything is implied and therefore it lacks details !

Small detail : like the previous book, these are characters who have experienced very painful moments so beware of triggers !

In short, a romance that I read with pleasure !

Une romance presque slow burn avec des personnages cabossés par la vie que j'ai lu avec plaisir

Cette auteure est pour moi une découverte et j'ai lu avec plaisir le premier tome de la série Single Dad Hotline ! Beaucoup de tropes qui me plaisent comme le père célibataire et la romance de bureau mais aussi un côté beaucoup plus sombre et sérieux avec des personnages qui ont eu et ont toujours des vies bien horribles ...

Toutefois, ce n'est pas un coup de cœur pour deux raisons :

- j'ai eu du mal à m'attacher Stella (et notamment j'ai eu plusieurs fois l'impression qu'elle se créait elle-même des problèmes, comme quand elle s'enferme dans une pièce seule avec Silas alors que SÉRIEUX ! Ce mec est un psychopathe)

- il m'a manquée des détails sur certains points : j'aurais voulu en savoir plus sur Nigel (sur la mort de sa femme ...), l'histoire des secrets de la famille de Becker n'était pas claire (notamment son enfance) ...

Bref, une romance que j'ai lu avec plaisir !

A romance almost slow burn with characters battered by life that I read with pleasure

This author is a discovery for me and I read with pleasure the first book of the Single Dad Hotline series ! Lots of tropes that I like like the single father and the office romance but also a much darker and serious side with characters who have had and still have horrible lives ...

However, it's not a favorite for two reasons :

- I had a hard time getting attached to Stella (and in particular I had the impression several times that she was creating problems for herself, like when she locks herself in a room alone with Silas when SERIOUSLY ! This guy is a psychopath !)

- I missed details on certain points : I would have liked to know more about Nigel (about the death of his wife ...), the story of the secrets of Becker's family was not clear (especially his childhood) ...

In short, a romance that I read with pleasure !
