This is a decent low level reference for weather. There are a lot of times when concepts are referenced before they have been explained (as in, they are in a later section). This text was too basic for me, but is more so an introduction to weather. There is a heavier focus on history and environmental applications than I expected. I didn't get much use out if this text, but maybe someone else could.
Widely known as one of Christie's best, and for good reason! The charming Poirot is back for another case and just as quirky as ever. This is one my favorite Christie novels.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Boring characters, stereotypical plot line, and disgusting sexual references to deceased women that make me think of a crude fantasy of the author's more than an actual story. He writes like a dick, and not in a way that's "just the character" talking. Waste of time.

This is the first book in the Discworld series I've read and it was a brilliant introduction. It's a clever story with a compelling plot and funny writing. I liked the otherworldly aspects of the setting and fantasy influence. If I'm being picky, I would have liked to see more female characters - or at least had the one woman in the book have an actual storyline.
This book has almost nothing to do with meteorology. It's basically a "gardening for advanced students" book with some facts about space thrown in. It's not a bad book perse, it's just nothing like the description claims to be. I personally didn't find it very useful, but it could be a good reference for a different audience if it was marketed as such. Disappointing from what I thought I would get to learn.
I read this one quickly; like many Agatha Christie novels, it's gripping and propels you into the mystery immediately. The reveal of the culprit is a little obvious, but the events leading up to it certainly had me doubting my own conclusions along the way. This is a great book to pick up if you're interested in one of Christie's standalone stories.
I love Agatha Christie, who doesn't? This is my first time reading her short stories and was mostly impressed. The mysteries are well constructed and there's a few appearances of past characters. The only thing that bothered me were a few of the endings that seemed particularly rushed into exposition of the solving of the case.
These letters are so charming and funny. I read the book in an afternoon. It's the kind of story you don't have to get too invested in, which I liked as a change of pace. That being said, I found myself weirdly fond of the characters and their care for each other even from across an ocean as strangers. I really enjoyed this one.
I'm not usually a big fan of short stories, but this book is definitely an exception. Each story is so...weird, yet somehow also incredibly relatable. The characters are people I see around me and in myself. I read the whole book in a day, and thoroughly enjoyed the experimental writing style.
I loved this book. It's funny to the point of actually laughing out loud while reading. My only complaint is that the ending seems kind of abrupt. That being said, this is easily one of my favorites.
