so did she kill herself at the end or could she just not fathom life outside of the island? either way this book was incredibly enjoyable due to the heavy dosage of feminine rage and the generally unhinged protagonist.

WOOOOOOW this was a lot. okay. so. 400-page new adult hockey romance? not unheard of. 400-page new adult hockey romance with amazing side characters, drama that’ll make you scream, reverse grumpy-sunshine, and HENRY? yes, please.

half of the book was me chatting about how much i love the reverse grumpy-sunshine trope and the other half was me on my knees praying for the next book to be henry’s. miss grace i love him please let me love him more.

so yeah. in my opinion this was totally worth the hype. like wow.

also fuck aaron carlisle

also also i hated the “my wife and kids” ass ending because i always hate those kinds of things in books so i choose to believe it doesn’t exist. i have selective sight.

sophie lark writes like she has never experienced mortal danger before ever in her entire white life. i hate it.

also any man who attempts to “tame” me like a horse is getting kneed straight in the ballsack. no question.

this book was so fucking fun!!!!! as the president of the “boy who worships the ground girl walks on” trope and vice-president of the “our families have drama” trope i give this one my michelin star of approval!

if you like wes and liz from better than the movies, you’ll love lia and beckett
