Continue to love the political drama and medical-related storylines. Still on the fence about Koyou and her unhealthy obsession with brawn.

A very immature and conflicted princess who constantly goes from being impulsive to having moments of clarity that last one page before returning to impulsive decisions. Found it hard to keep up with events because of this. Will not be continuing this series.

Back in the City of the Gods as Tessa and Jin are summoned back for a god-filled competition that reminds one of battle royale or the hunger games. Choose the reference that makes the most sense to you. Make it magical, full of touching moments of friendship, and in different cities of Japan that invokes a desire to travel there as soon as possible.

This small town is filled with too many secrets and malicious people. A fantastic sequel that maintains its intensity and suspense.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 32%.
Tried my best to get through it but just couldn’t get absorbed into it. Found myself skimming the pages at one point and knew it was time to put it down to perhaps return to one day.

Thank you Harper Collins Canada for the gifted arc.

An interesting world in which young people are trained and made to go to war with magic. A lot of relationship building between characters and not a lot of world building.

Alien invasion and our unlikely heroes is an alien itself and a struggling comic book writer who figures that this adventure will at least give her inspiration and ideas. If they survive it. Fun, quirky, and different.

Sometimes you know within a few pages of starting a book that you’re going to love it. Lessons in Chemistry is one of those books. It was perfection.

What happens when a heartbreaker who doesn’t want to break anymore hearts meets a woman with a multigenerational curse to never find love? Cue a fake dating storyline and yes we all know where that ends. But add more tea, flowers, self-love, and introspection.
