Ruled by Magic by Zara J. Black

If you enjoy heavy spice, erotica and kinks alongside paranormal magic, then this is the series for you.
Ruled by magic kicks right off with Liv being tricked into becoming Lord Commander Leopold Rahl (Leo's) concubine to avoid prison time. Add in some degradation, heavy punishments and magic, against politics, rebellion and assassination attempts, and you've got a gripping dark fantasy with an intense and intriguing plot, and a lot of spice.

After reading 'ruled by magic' first I was strickly team Leo/Liv, and Prince Adante was the 'evil twisted villain'. This book switches all that up for sure.
This ingeniously runs the same time as the events in ruled by magic so we get to see both sides of the story and learn some key background information on the villanous Adante. Throw in a calculating and ambitious women called Talia and you've got some intense antics and power plays. With more kinks, erotica and darkly possessive and intense romance thrown in, this series will keep you feeling the heat.

The conclusion to the series neatly follows dual POV with Liv & Leo's journey, alongside Adante & Talia's. Switching back and forth we see what both couples are up against. Leo and Adante continue with their respective dominating possessive and obsessive traits, and there's still plenty of spice and kinks, but we get to see more focus on the plot with betrayals, revenge, secrets exposed and unlikely alliances. Enjoy the exciting finale.
The Glass Palace by Kathryn Trattner

This was an enchanting fairytale inspired Fantasy. With a mysterious realm including the dangerous black forest, a somewhat haunted mansion in the midst of the jungle, and characters with endless secrets, this story is full of mystery and intrigue.
Part 1 is reminiscent of beauty and the beast / Acotar, with a slow burn romance between the main characters, dampened by secrets and an unspoken curse. When Astrid's plan goes wrong she inadvertently summons an evil presence and loses something she loves.
Part 2 sees the determined heroine battle through countless dangers and encounter new allies and enemies in her quest to survive and find the glass palace.
Part 3 sees the fast paced conclusion with Astrid facing the evil foe and if she will survive and live happily ever after.
Overall this was a delightful adventure to read and the world building was creative and descriptive. I adored Chinook's character, he was funny and witty and it helped brighten the darker elements of Astrid's loneliness and desperation.

Fascinating and imaginative with rich world building drawing you into this epic fantasy realm. This story is filled with action, adventure and intrigue, and with multiple characters POV throughout we get to see all the different journeys running alongside and overlapping.
With new friendships and allies, secrets and betrayals, these characters paths are being forged by destiny.
With a powerful cliffhanger I eagerly await the next book!

This was a lovely NA fantasy romance book. It was well written and kept me hooked till the end.
The characters are interesting, the FMC is brave, witty and independent, the MMC is smart, loyal and caring.
It includes mystery, magic, slow burn romance (fade to black), Fae, portals and adventure, and was really enjoyable.
Hoping to read more of this series soon as it has lots of promise and themes to explore.
(I Received an Arc copy and would happily recommend this book to readers ❤️)

Engaging, fun and fast paced. This has elements of mystery with strange deaths occuring, action with hellbeast fights and trials, and slow burn enemies to lovers sassy romance.
Marik describes Ryn perfectly: "this woman was a confusing dichotomy of sass, power and intelligence", she kicks ass and has the potential for so much more. This was a refreshing take on angels, demons, sins and virtues, and I'm looking forward to see what's next for Ryn, Marik and their friends.

Have You Come to Bargain? by Cameron Fitzgerald

An interesting concept of being sucked into a game and having to play through to escape, whilst trying to solve the mysteries of it all. It's fast paced and intriguing, if it had been longer we could have seen more of the gaming world and NPC interactions which would have been interesting to develop, and longer action sequences in the boss fights would have made it more suspenseful. Overall it was a fun read though if you want a quick sci-fi escape with elements of mystery, suspense and the paranormal.

This was a fun whirlwind adventure!
Ava is a bad ass monster hunter, brave, witty and extremely independent and stubborn.
After her ex lover Gideon (a hunter too) let's slip about a nearby evil witch causing havoc and taunts that others better than Ava will be taking care of it, of course that's a red flag to a bull and she's gonna go charging off to kill the witch on her own just to prove a point.
Of course battling a powerful evil witch and her deadly creatures was easy compared with being faced with multiple warrior Fae and a hellhound trying to kill her for some reason.
Now on the run with a bag full of cursed objects, Ava is tricked into becoming a hired assassin to clear a debt, and has to work for 'Stone' a dangerously hot high Fae who's also part of the shadow court mafia and threatening her sisters life.
Travelling to the Fae realm isn't easy either having to use an imaginative portal, owned by 'Blade' who happens to be another hot high Fae who's extremely arrogant and likes pushing Ava's buttons.
Add in a Fae tavern with mortal 'slaves', an ongoing forced quest for assassination in a strange land, developing feelings for your annoying temporary boss, being hunted by kings guards and the Fae mafia, and what can possibly go wrong?
Book 1 does not disappoint, but hang in for more to come, Ava still has asses to kick!

This was a lovely read with fun and interesting characters and a discovery of new found friendships. The story flows nicely and keeps you engaged to the end, with twists and turns along the journey. The depth and variety of characters introduced throughout pulls the story together nicely alongside the descriptive world building. This was a delightful adventure and i'd love to read more about this world and characters. Highly recommend for a fun fantasy adventure read.
