It was a fun read, but it wasn't as great as Feed was. I definitely recommend it if you enjoyed Mira Grant in the past.  It was an interesting change of perspective with a little surprise at the end.
There's also something thrown in at the end that I haven't seen in zombie stories before. It was truly terrifying to think about.  You'll know it when you get to it!

While I enjoyed the prose and the creativety that went into this novella, I did not think the story was anything special. It's your classic tragedy with an unnecessary sci-fi spin that left a lot to be desired.

Also, the audiobook is terrible. I do not recommend listening to it. The shrill voice  and constantly changing pitch of the reader was very distracting. At times it sounded like a robot was reading. Oddly, it would happen midsentence making it even more jarring.

Such a quick and fun read! My only complaint is that I wish it were longer. I'd like even more character development (only so much can be done with 126 pages) and I'd love if events were more detailed. But it's still incredible and probably the fastest Ive gotten through a Le Guin novel.

If the creepy romance between the main character and her captor didn't exist this would have been a solid 5. The story is really captivating, but the rediculous and creepy age gap and how quickly it's accepted (as well as how blatantly abusive the dragon is) is disgusting and takes so much away from the book. It would have been incredible if it stayed entirely a mentor-mentee relationship.

So cleverly written and fun to read, I would have loved this book as a young adult or teen. Reading it now, however, I feel it's lacking a bit in the story department (which is odd considering it's about stories).  Still a nice, relaxing experience.
