While I enjoyed the prose and the creativety that went into this novella, I did not think the story was anything special. It's your classic tragedy with an unnecessary sci-fi spin that left a lot to be desired.
Also, the audiobook is terrible. I do not recommend listening to it. The shrill voice and constantly changing pitch of the reader was very distracting. At times it sounded like a robot was reading. Oddly, it would happen midsentence making it even more jarring.

Usually sci Fi is a way to present an interesting idea that doesn't necessarily work as well in reality. This doesn't have anything like that, unless you count time travel (which served no purpose in the actual story).
I do not think the typical sci-fi lover will enjoy this.
