Listened to the audiobook while I was working on crocheting. Spicier than I expected & a fun story. Finished it in less than 24 hrs.

I started this book a year ago, misplaced it, found it, misplaced it again and finally finished it. Kept misplacing it because I would take it everywhere with me to read, or fell asleep with it and lost it under my bed.
Only minor comment is that because I'm an adult, the idea of FBI working this closely with teenagers on a case this serious had me suspending my belief anytime the age of the characters were brought up (but I would have ate it up as a teen). If they would have been just a couple years older I wouldnt have blinked about it, BUT that being said - I'm still glad it took me awhile to finish it because now I dont have to wait as long to read the sequel when it comes out!

This rating may be temporary. It had so many twists in the last few chapters that it didnt really feel like the reader had time to process the previous one. Definitely a fast paced book though.

This was so creepy. Definitely need to find the full-length novel that comes after.

It was okay. Not as good as the first one. Certain things felt forced. But it was okay.

Would this probably be like a 3.5 rating for most people? Sure.
But did every pop culture & true crime reference, as well as the personal issues & effort for growth, strike every single chord with me? Absofuckinglutely.
Loved it. Looking forward to future romantic comedies from this author.

I really wanted to enjoy this more than I did, but I think I had to be in the right mood. It was good, but not what I was in the mood for at this time. Well written & had a lot going on, all the same.
If you're looking for a slow burn - this is a good one.
