Were aspects of this book frustrating? Absolutely. Were the writing & overall storyline(s) still good enough to keep me from putting this down? Absolutely.

WOW. Could not put this down.

...w- what the hhhhhhhell did I just read?!

I've been reading a lot of darker things, but this was the perfect palate cleanser.

Rinder went through a lot. As he was raised in the system from a young age, he admits to being a part of the problem in the past, but has made a strong effort to make amends. He's now doing what he can to inform, without pressuring, current and former members to share their stories and reassess their involvement. Because of this and his former high rank, he is a massive target, and has experienced horrible backlash. He, and Leah Remini, and anyone else brave enough to share their stories, or even just leave - are doing amazing work.

I didn't want it to end. I'm getting close to the end of the series.

3.5 - but rounding up because I just enjoy the series.

Laughed. Cried a little. Finished it feeling a little raw.
