“You break my books, I break you.”
“I don’t abandon those I love. Maybe that’s something you should consider in the future.”
“I know nothing of dreams. The only thing I’ve ever known are nightmares.”
“We are fantastic at complicated relationships.”
“You tried to feed me to an overgrown insect.”

Great continuation to the series. This book picks up right where the first book, A House of Fangs & Deceit ended.

The relationships between Samara and her love interests continued to develop, with some new ones added to the mix. I liked how all her romantic partners had different types of personalities, characteristics, and also some non-binary representation. The chemistry and banter between Samara and her partners, and also between her partners, continued to be great.

The stakes were higher compared to the first book, and there was once again a lot happening. I enjoyed learning more about the history of Seelie and Unseelie, and Lunaria as a place.

The ending took me by surprise, and I can’t wait to read more!

“It’s too late, can’t they see? She is already dead. No one can save her. Just like no one saved me.”
“But you’re gentle. You are kind. You are cherished. And you are so fucking strong.”
“The truth is better than lies, even if the truth is fucking horrific.”
“You taught me pleasure isn’t always pain. You freed me.”
“I got you, my beautiful broken boy.”

I’m truly speechless. This book was absolutely amazing and I loved every second of it!

I loved learning more about Dexy, his past truly was heartbreaking and learning more about it made me understand him more as a character.

The relationship development between Dex and Liam was so sweet and I loved how understanding Liam was to Dexy’s struggles and helped to heal him. Izzie was a fun character who made me laugh, and the bond between her and Liam reminded me of Iris & Jasper.

Also loved seeing Iris and Jasper and learning what they were doing after Sutton. Iris might be unhinged and crazy, but she’s so sweet and protective towards her family, exactly like Liam was towards his sister.

Overall an amazing read. I would love to read more about Dex and the other characters in the future.

“What kind of twenty-eight-year-old goes around dressed as a sexy turkey anyway?”
“The more I gave myself over to the hunger, the freer I became.”
“I’d never felt more wanted. It was like they were here just for me, to give me everything I desired.”

Quick and spicy thanksgiving romance including a human FMC and three turkey basters.

I’m speechless, but I also have a lot of questions that maybe are better left unanswered. Overall, a fun and fast read.

“We couldn’t live as humans anymore, not in a world ruled by monsters. We had to become monsters as well.”
“Is this your roundabout way of asking me to take my clothes off?”
“I’m ready for you to beg now.”
“I think you’re confusing romantic with horny.”
“I’m not leaving my books and going outside!”

Amazing start to a new romantasy series!

This book gave me similar feelings to reading TOG for the first time. Not because of a similar storyline but because of rich world building, interesting characters, and a storyline that whisked me away from my everyday life to a new fantasy world

I loved everything about this book. The world building was amazing—beautifully written and interesting. I loved how new information and details about the world were revealed throughout the story

The Moroi, Velesians, and Furies all seemed interesting with different characteristics and powers. I can’t wait to learn more about all of them.

Samara seemed like an interesting FMC. She was strong, fierce, and intelligent. I loved the relationship dynamics and development between her and the different MMCs. All the characters seemed well developed with their own personalities, abilities, and backstories.

The plot itself sucked me in from the very first page and didn’t let go. I devoured this book and can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

“Sleep sweet, Pumpkin. I’ll come for you. You will be mine.”
“Well, alright then, drive-thru and murder scene it is.”
“What’s real? What’s fake? What does it matter?”
“Part of me will forever be yours.”

Dark, mysterious and spicy reimagining of Sleepy Hollow.

The connection between Izzy and the horseman was so strong right from the beginning, even though Izzy didn’t really realize it at first.

The storyline kept me hooked and I couldn’t put the book down. Like the characters themselves said, it wasn’t always clear what was real and what was fake, who was one of the “good guys”, etc.

The plot twist at the end left me speechless. I need to reread this at some point because I’m sure I missed a lot of clues along the way.

Perfect spooky season read. I wouldn’t recommend drinking creamy pumpkin spice latte while reading this.

“It’s unseemly for a lady of your standing to surround herself with books instead of suitors.”
“The last thing the poor girl needs to see is her beloved gargoyle with her tits out.”
“I’m glad we were just different enough to fit together perfectly.”

Cute & magical sapphic monster romantasy set in Paris in the early 1900s.

This book was so sweet and heartwarming. I loved the relationship development between Viola and her gargoyle. They were both interesting, strong main characters. Viola knew what she wanted and was willing to do anything to reach her goals. Boudicca, on the other hand was struggling with her identity and her feelings.

Even though the book was quite short, there was a lot happening and also a lot of character development. I would love to learn more about Xander and their past.

I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

I have mixed feelings about this book. There were some parts I enjoyed, but also some parts that I disliked.

I enjoy fairytale retellings, and the premise of the story was great. I also liked the FMC and felt like she was a strong character.

But I personally didn’t feel the connection and chemistry between her and the MMC. I also would have preferred the warriors to be better introduced.

I felt like there was too much inner monologue and would have preferred to have more dialogue, and also more showing instead of telling.

“Ethan’s party is a place where the law doesn’t exist. Anything you want, you can have.”
“I am persistent. Don’t expect me to give up easily, no matter how much of a bitch you are.”
“On your knees and crawl to me, pet.”
“Her blood is my blood. Our blood is addictive. I need more.”

Lily’s story broke my heart. Imagine being a teenager and coming home to an empty home and just a note vaguely telling you what was going on. No wonder she felt unwanted, and her life took an unexpected turn.

Jaxson was a dream book boyfriend material. He was willing to do anything for Lily, and his number one priority was to make sure that she was happy. Even though Lily had a hard time seeing that at first.

I enjoyed the relationship development, dynamic, and chemistry between Lily and Jaxson, and the spice was spicing (as always in Kinsley’s books).

This book was much deeper than just a taboo romance, and as someone who struggles at times with depression and anxiety, I think that the mental health aspect was well written and felt very real.

“You’re mine, Libra, until the day you die. I am your demon, the monster under your bed, and you are my fleshbag to toy with as much as I possibly can.”
“Tomorrow is a new day, and I fully intend on haunting your dreams.”
“Get ready, ‘cause things are about to go bump in the night.”
“You going to punish me, Libra? Show me just how bad of a monster I’ve been?”
“I’m going to eat your flesh and consume your fear, your soul. It’s mine to devour.”

Short, fun and spicy erotic horror novella about monster under the bed.

This novella was amazing! For a book this short, there was a lot happening and multiple plot twists. Perfect mixture of funny banter, blood & gore and spice.

I loved the relationship between Libra and Axelle. The chemistry and banter between them were great, and the spice was spicing. I’m usually not the biggest fan of insta-lust, but it worked well for this storyline. Axelle is welcome to haunt my dreams any night.

Overall a fun, fast read. Perfect for spooky season.

“Ah, the casual Tuesday existential dread.”
“I should know better than to make a deal with a demon.”
“A demon, a witch, and a god. What could go wrong?”
“If my day wasn’t bad enough, I’m now being felt up by a rotting hand.”
“Beg for it. Beg for the sinner and the saint.”

This is one of the funniest books I’ve read in a while. There were some parts that started as more serious, but switched to funny in a heartbeat.

I enjoyed the dysfunctional dynamics and the funny banter between the FMC, Freya, and the 3 MMCs Adder, Phrixius, and Sha. And the spice was definitely spicing!

I liked how Freya ended up kind of picking the strays and introducing new MMCs to the story in that way. The MMCs had different characteristics but also shared some similarities, and they worked well together. Adder is probably my favorite and I would happily make a deal with him any day.

I liked how there were more details revealed about Freya throughout the book. She started as a shunned witch with some darkness in her but ended up being so much more towards the end.

Great book for anyone who enjoys lighthearted, but slightly dark RH monster romance with lots of humor.
