“Sweet like honey. Forbidden fruit, waiting for me to take a bite.” “We will hunt you. We will haunt you. We will terrorize you.” “You belong to us and only we can do this to you.” “Everything we did and do now is always for you.”
Short and spicy MFM taboo novella with chase in the woods, praise & degradation. Colton and Maddox were jealous and protective but also really sweet towards Sadie. I can’t wait to read more of these three!
“I will chase you to the ends of the world and beyond.“ “Anything is possible if you are willing to barter for its asking price.” “Give them hell, my little rebel princess.” “Speak that way about my wife one more time, and you will regret those words.”
Great ending to The Forbidden Heir trilogy.
The book continues to follow the familiar characters from the previous two books. There was again a lot happening and a lot at stake. The story is told in multiple pov and I think that the multi-pov storytelling worked nicely for the plot.
I enjoy the author’s writing style and how she’s able to make the reader feel like they’re in the middle of the action.
Overall, this book wrapped up the series nicely, giving all the characters the ending they deserved.

The book sounded interesting but unfortunately the writing style wasn’t for me.
The beginning of the book contains multiple short stories, some of them only a page long. The first one seemed interesting, but just stopped abruptly without resolving the story. The other ones honestly weren’t great.
The Pink Agave Motel story itself was just confusing and jumped from one event and time period to another.
I really struggled with the writing style and couldn’t get into the stories.
Thank you, CLASH books and NetGalley for the ARC. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
The blurb sounded interesting, but the writing style wasn’t for me.
I liked having the character introductions with character art at the beginning of the book, but even with those I had a hard time distinguishing the characters and at times I was confused about who was who, which of the characters was saying or doing something, who was related to whom, etc.
I usually like multi-POV storytelling, but with this book, the constant POV changes between too similar characters, with some of them having multiple names/nicknames made it a bit of a struggle for me to understand what was going on.
I’m usually a fan of why choose, but unfortunately in this book the why choose element wasn’t working for me. Maybe again the characters were too similar to each other. Also I personally didn’t feel the connection or chemistry between the characters.

I love Caraval as a series and it was nice to dive back into the magical world for a little while. The book is focused on Tella and Legend, but Scarlett and Julian make an appearance as well.
The illustrations in this one are beautiful. I especially loved the ones that showed what Tella was imagining about how things might go.
“The dark will welcome you.” “My queen. My equal. My Shadow-Kissed love. My forever.” “The hunt is half the pleasure, after all.” “Are you ready to step out of your fiction and into truth?” “Please stop? Please continue? What do you really want, little ghost?”
The connection between the FMC, Elena, and the MMC, Torrin, was well written, and you could really feel the pull between the characters from the first pages.
I liked how Elena learned and discovered more about herself throughout the story and how her self-discovery, and learning about the darkness reflected in her writing. She needed to embrace the darkness before she was ready to live in the shadows.
Torrin was protective of Elena and surprisingly sweet. I liked how he wanted Elena to choose instead of forcing her into anything.
Loved the eerie atmosphere and feeling of the book. Great, short spooky season read.

“Do I need to stop staring at my uncle’s ass in those jeans? Absolutely.” “I’m done being someone’s pet. I’m done living a lie and being kept inside a glass cage.” “I’m the bad decision at one a.m. that your parents warned you about.” “You gonna tell her where I am? That I’m balls deep inside your pretty little cunt?”
This book was amazing! Uncle Storm can take me to his cabin, and teach me things any day 🥵
The chemistry and tension between Briar and Storm was amazingly written, and I loved the relationship development between them. I loved Storm’s possessive side (“You want a hat, you wear mine.”) and the free-use dynamic.
Loved all the moments of little touches and secret looks between the characters, and how those moments usually led up to some spicy lessons.
The plot itself was interesting and I loved having some of the casual ranch life included. There were multiple plot twists, especially towards the end and I’m happy the characters got the ending they deserved.
I haven’t read the first book in the series, Chasing the Wild, but now I really need to read that one too, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

The idea of a Sweeney Todd retelling sounded amazing, and the first few chapters were great, but unfortunately after that the story went a bit downhill.
I personally didn’t like the FMC. She was manipulative and didn’t, in my opinion, grow as a character. The MMC had potential, but the FMC dragged him and his storyline down.
Also I would have preferred the pacing to be a bit more consistent, instead of some parts jumping from one thing to another while other parts felt really slow.
Not a bad book by any means, and I’m sure a lot of readers will enjoy this one, but it just wasn’t my personal favorite.

“There is someone watching, and somehow, that thought both terrifies and excites me.” “Tonight, I’m Santa Claus. Oh, not the fat, jolly, ho-ho-ho one—no, no, no. My Santa’s a little… different.” “She’s perfect. And she has no idea what’s coming for her.” “Power takes many forms, and fear is one of them.” “Isn’t that what every good little girl wants on Christmas Day? To be Santa Johnny’s own personal come stocking?”
Once again, Nova has me speechless. The books just keep getting better and better!
I already loved Johnny in both A La Folie & Maison De Fous and this book made me love him even more. I loved seeing this other side of him. Yes, he is a murderous psychopath at times, but he is also surprisingly sweet and caring.
The way Alaska was described through Johnny’s eyes was so beautifully written, and honestly, at this point I wish someone would watch me as admiringly as Johnny was watching Alaska.
Loved the creative use of Christmas decor and candy cane. And Johnny’s unique take on a snowman made me laugh.
Perfect, twisted Christmas story. I, once again, can’t wait to read more!

I liked the beginning, but the one-year time jump in the middle of the book disrupted the momentum for me and left me wishing for more explanation about what happened during the year.
