debating between 3 and 3.5 stars. i love anything elsie writes but i don’t think i’ll ever get over chestnut springs 🥲 this was simple and sweet, but rosie and ford had no business being this bland and flavorless 😭 

fast paced enemies to lovers 😍 
basically: lost princess ends up in rebel territory. no one knows she’s the lost princess but hot shot home boy doesn’t trust her and is very suspicious of her but he’s drawn to her like a magnet. 

four over five stars because i do feel like it was missing a little depth.

well this was unexpected fun! it did hit a dry spell around 50% but i love kingfisher with everything in me 🤍

this is throuples done right!!! i wanted more fluffy moments because that’s what sells me on relationships, HOWEVER the spice was HITTING 🌶️🌶️

i love an unhinged romance 🫶🏼

brynne weaver, you feckin' QUEEN. B&B will always hold a special place in my heart, but this was SO GOOD. yet again, the best duet narration i've ever listened to (along with B&B). equally unbelievably amazing. 
it wasn't as dark as B&B, but there's still murder, comedy, and romance - a perfect combination of it all.

and lachlan kane, the man that you are 😮‍💨 this is the first time i genuinely believed a relationship to the core, like both people had a personality!

yay to finally getting sorin and thalia‘s story!! this man has been a goner for thalia since we first met him. there are some loose ends remaining, but i still really enjoyed it. it’s also dual pov 😮‍💨🤌🏼

and my sweet, sweet jorah. this book kept reminding me of his beautiful soul. i wish you could have had your happy ending 🥺🥺

veryyyy underwhelmed with this one. books 1 and 2 were fun for what they are, but this was just an insane amount of repetition with a barely existent plot. i felt like i read the same scene approx 75 times. i didn’t hate it but i’m glad it’s over. 

and why did jorah have to die? 😭 we didn't even get his death scene or funeral. he just went from a main side character to an afterthought.

 

entertaining if you enjoy mindless romance. because that's all this is. that said, i did enjoy this. 3.5-4ish stars

first, it's dual pov & i was so here for it. second, there’s real character and story development in book two, which is exactly what we want in a sequel 👏🏼👏🏼 also, kane ravenwood!! my god!!!
