interesting and fast paced from the very first page, but the entire time i just continued to think about how something was missing. perhaps more insight into the world and other characters. the end gave me just enough to absolutely NEED the next book!!

oh to lay in a poppy field and make flower crowns with the person you're supposed to hate <3

things that get a solid 10/10: THE BANTER, the tension, the relationship development, & kai!!! just kai. i'm obsessed with him being obsessed with her šŸ„¹šŸ„¹ VIBES. FUN. THIS IS WHY I READ.

but letā€™s pretend that wasnā€™t the ending.

i donā€™t care. this book took me entirely way too long to read and this really could just be the slump talking, but i'm respectfully asking WHERE IS THE CHEMISTRY?! this was so boring

honestly loved this! it's a great read if you love the accidental pregnancy trope. and let me tell you, the spice is SPICIN šŸ„µ

shout out to bailey for adding this to the intro of the book: "go easy on cass <3 she's pregnant and hormonal for most of this book." because MY GOD it took me a looooong time to get in cassidy's corner.
i absolutely adored red! i was rooting for his happy ending every step of the way!! always gotta love a misunderstood, hotheaded, tatted cowboy.

2.5 very generous stars
this final book is a mix of boring, frustrating, and anticlimactic. as far as the plot goes, the god stuff is vague and the mythology of it is poorly explained. an info-dump in the 11th hour of a series is just not good storytelling.

felt this book rolled a lot more smoothly than book four. looking forward to the conclusion!

ugh. things are still progressing really slowly and thereā€™s a lack on information literally everywhere! oliā€™s secrets, noxā€™s past, the bonds etc.

that cliff hanger though! and +0.5 ā for the dragon

entertaining read, i liked seeing the transformation of some of her bonds and love interests.

however, there needs to be a new plot line or purpose introduced in the next book because the plot right now has become so repetitive and boring. it doesnā€™t pick up until like 70% in! plus, oli's inner monologue was (and still is) EXHAUSTING. the whining about her powers and constant complaining about being bored, at some point i thought to myself "girl, same".
