Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines by Nic Sheff

I read his father's book, Beautiful Boy last year. Once I knew his son had written his own memoir of addiction, I had to have this perspective. Part of me will never understand what the appeal is of torturing one's body to the extent that he did. I am not sure I have any further understanding after finishing his memoir. Nic Sheff left me feeling very angry towards him and disgusted by his self importance. I don't get it and I wish I did.

Really really really liked this book. Closer to 4.5 for me. The relationship between siblings and the existence of individual realities that can exist within a family rang home.

This was recommended by my local librarian. I did not like the protagonist so I had trouble connecting with the story.

4.5 in my opinion. Amazing how a child can appear lost in one's own immediate family. I wanted to jump in the book and hold her tight.
