One of my favorites of all time. I read it almost every summer. A tale woven across lifetimes about love, friendship, and family. Descriptions really come to life for everything from the characters to the town itself. With good humor and a ton of heart, this has everything you need.

This is now one of my favorite books of all time.

A murder mystery unravels at a school for thespians, and the characters leap and bound off the page.

As to be expected in a book about theater nerds, there is a lot of Shakespeare directly quoted in character dialogue. To some it may come off as pretentious. But the bold personalities and expertly woven tension make this an incredible mystery.

Bonus points for LGBT representation.

This is one of the best memoirs I have ever read. The pacing is spot on, the writing and the emotions behind it were the best of any biography or memoir piece I’ve read. It’s utterly fascinating to witness the journey of one of the most accomplished and dignified women of our lifetimes.
