A beautiful story written from a new perspective. This is a unique kind of storytelling. It’ll bring you to tears and you won’t regret it.

The way this book keeps you turning pages even though you know exactly how it ends is something special. It’s so sweet and emotional. The prose is nothing special but it’s a great read.

A side effect of many POVs is that I find it hard to keep track of the cast of characters at times. But I loved this book and it’s themes. It has a lot to say about family, race, tradition, and especially the roles played by mothers and their daughters. I would love to come back to this book one day.
