Great House by Nicole Krauss

I absolutely loved this book and was hooked from the first few pages and lapped up every single page that followed. So excellently written, I haven't read a novel this good in a while. The main themes of the story made me think about my own life and mortality in a way that doesn't often happen after reading a piece of fiction. It had just the right amount of mystery to make it interesting, and I genuinely felt for every single character. So so good. I don't see how anyone who loves a well thought out, lyrically written piece of fiction could not love it as much as I did.
Bossypants by Tina Fey

Enjoyed this book, especially listening to the audio version as it is narrated by Tina Fey. As it started I was laughing out loud, but overall I felt it was a bit hit and miss - a few really engaging/funny parts, a few that seemed a bit lackluster, like they somehow "needed" to be included. I feel like it might have been overhyped when it first came out, which is a shame I think very few books can live up to that.
The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro

I think it came down to it just being too depressing to take in. I couldn't like the main character at any point in the book and hoped I would at least a little bit by the end but I think it was too late. It all just left me quite sad, which is maybe the point?

One of my top five business reads. Not one bad thing to say about this book, I absolutely loved it. I'd recommend it to any business owner, creative, or human being.
Fine Art Wedding Photography: How to Capture Images with Style for the Modern Bride by Jeff Kent, Jose Villa

I feel like this book would have been really beneficial to have read when I was first starting out, still it is a gorgeous book and I love Jose and reading about his approach :)
Unmarketing: Stop Marketing. Start Engaging. by Scott Stratten

One of my absolute favourite business books ever. Scott Stratten is hilarious in his writing, and this book just says it like it is. So many practical tips and invaluable business lessons he shares through his own experiences as a consultant and just as a regular consumer and participant in social media. Couldn't have loved it more.

Flew through this little book - great layout, great points, step by step action points, and I found the review sections and flow charts really helpful. Beautiful book on standing out and discovering who you are.

Started out strong, but I got a bit bogged down by the middle/end.
