Things I liked:
THE COVER!!! It's gorgeous, hats off to the illustrator!
Mahdi and Sera's relationship
Neela's maturation
Most of the plot
I did like this book but not as much as the last one. The beginning of the book was pretty slow and not a lot happened and I found myself being distracted a lot of the time. I had a little problem with the pace because it went from slow to incredibly fast and then back to slow.
I did enjoy the plot but I felt like there were too many twists and turns, I know some people like that but personally I prefer a few twists here and there. This book had one twist after the other and I found myself wishing for things to slow down but that didn't happen because the author threw the characters in one stressful situation, took them out and threw them in another.
*these were my emotions while I was reading. Bored, happy, sad, angry( in a good way), Swoony, happy, anxious, slightly bored, shocked( in a good way at the end)*
Overall I was satisfied.
The characters were enjoyable. Personally I loved the scenes between Mahdi and Sera and I also enjoyed Neela's time with the Askari and in Kandina. The author took her from pampered princess to hardened warrior, with a smooth transition.
Overall I enjoyed this book and I will continue on with the series, I would recommend it to people who love mermaids and adventure.

Undercover by Danielle Steel

I did like the book. Good plot line and interesting story overall. I love Marshall and Ariana's relationship. But I feel that Steel was a bit repetitive. And constantly reminding us about the past. The back stories took around 200 pages! But aside from that I did enjoy the book. I really liked Mac's humour and Marshall's teasing nature. If you like a psychological thriller romance then I recommend that you read this book. However personally I felt it was very unfulfilling. The romance between the protagonists was only 30 or so pages long. The last hundred pages focused more on friendship than anything else. We didn't get anything more than a glance at Marshall and Ariana's romance and the end was so quick. I was excited to read this because it was my first romance but it did not fully meet my expectations. I mean Marshall and Ariana didn't even meet until after 200 something pages and the book's only 336 pages long! And it was really annoying when I was constantly reminded of Ariana's time in Buenos Aries, I couldn't go half a page without being reminded that she loved Jorge or that she lost the kid. Overall I didn't like this as much as I wanted too. I would have liked to read a book that was 600 pages long and had more content than a book that was shorter and unfulfilling.

I honestly cannot express how much I love this book. The characters, plot, setting, themes, everything...just wow
I adore the relationship Howl and Sophie have, Calcifer and Michael were downright funny, the ending was beautiful and I... Just read this book and you'll understand why I love it so much. I feel bad for giving it a 5. I I wanna give it 5000000000 not just 5. And I don't think 500000 a logical number for ratings but I don't care I love this book just that much.
