I really enjoyed most of this book. I liked the main characters and liked seeing them interact. I thought the world was very interesting as well. 
But there were glaring problems. This book has a scaling and pacing problem. I couldnt tell how expansive this story was supposed to be and the pacing can be very jarring. Also, this book has a telling over showing approach which is disappointing.
Altogether, I liked it. But I don't know if I would recommend.

So... My dad made me read this. And I'm not a big non-fiction reader so I don't really know how to rate it. That being said, I'll just go with how much I enjoyed it. Would've preferred if there were more sci-fi elements or like a nice romance.

God I find this series so much fun! It's very reminiscent of the Vampire Diaries and fun and wacky shows like that. The characters are a bit goofy but the both them and the world are well thought out. 
In regards to problems, sometimes the dialogue is clunky, some of the emotional parts just don't hit, and Alex sometimes can be tiring. But this book did enough good to keep me reading.

Really enjoyed this book and it's characters. I thought it did a great job balancing the characters relationships and the plot. I also loved jumping through the different timelines. My biggest problem was the world building. While it was thoroughly thought out I feel like I was given more info then I needed and different times, which impacted how I absorbed the info.

I loved the world building of this book and the general plot direction of this book. I had trouble with the pacing of the main character's arc and with understanding some of the stakes. But altogether a pretty fun book.

Oh man. I really just wasn't in the mood for this book. I really didn't like the main characters and found their relationship grating. There is definitely an audience for this book. If you are on the fence, ask yourself if you want some 2000's/10's YA nostalgia. If so, then it will probably be right up your alley. I wasn't in the mood for that and it didn't win me over.
