I like that the author stated that he was highly inspired by Agatha Christie. I think that's why I was so invested in this book, as it read more like a mystery than it did a thriller. But don't get me wrong, I felt the thriller aspect for sure and will probably have eerie feelings for a long while. I did enjoy this read though! Good setting, characters, and plot twist! A couple things felt like loose ends at the end that I didn't feel like got answered fully but still a good read!

Somehow grasping at vanishing snowflakes is like grasping at happiness: an act of possession that instantly gives way to nothing.

It’s odd how quickly one adapts to the strange new world of a psychiatric unit. You become increasingly comfortable with madness— and not just the madness of others, but your own. We’re all crazy, I believe, just in different ways.

“Choosing a lover is a lot like choosing a therapist. We need to ask ourselves, is this someone who will be honest with me, listen to criticism, admit making mistakes, and not promise the impossible?”

“About love. About how we often mistake love for fireworks— for drama and dysfunction. But real love is very quiet, very still. It’s boring, if seen from the perspective of high drama. Love is deep and calm— and constant."

"Remember, love that doesn’t include honesty doesn’t deserve to be called love.”

Enjoyable dark humourous read that at first had me going "what am I getting myself into" to having me giggling at the main characters interactions with each other. A good intro to dark romance, stalker romance, masked men romance with lots of kinks.

I love returning back to Almond Bay and the Rowley's. A great romantic comedy and also had me tearing up a few times (that epilogue though)!! Most of the time I just thought Ryland was just thinking with his penis the whole book but...*shrugs*. Still a great read. I loved the baseball game date!

I didn't really like or connect with any of the characters and felt like I wasn't really following the plot/it wasn't keeping me interested. I think part of it was I'm not a huge fan of multiple povs in the third person pov. It's a hit or miss.

This book was like Wonka's factory meets Ready Player One but make it all book themed. It was so fun. I loved the theming and it made me tear up a bit. It was a warm hug. This made me think of favorite childhood authors that made me fall in love with reading and the impact of their books (I'm looking at you, Lemony Snicket).

I liked the plot. It was kinda cheesy all around but fit with the holiday season.

I thought this was super cute. I love that the FMC was a CIA agent. It was giving Miss Congeniality in that sense but the plot itself was also super fun and exciting. I also liked how the FMC helped the MMC process some of his trauma. Loved it! Super fun and cute read.

I loved it. Loved it all. With so many characters and plotlines and events happening... Everything was balanced super well and kept my interest the whole time! I'm obsessed.
