Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
5.0
I love everything about this book. The heist plot is fantastic and so well written, it's a real page turner. I love how we get to read from the perspectives of the different characters, and really get a feel for what's happening through their eyes. I can't even pick a favourite character, I love them all for different reasons and wish I was their friend. I loved exploring a different part of the Grishaverse and all the easter eggs for the Shadow and Bone trilogy. I can't recommend these books enough!

A fantastic read. Completely unputdownable. If I didn't already love these characters after reading Six of Crows, I definitely do now. Leigh Bardugo's writing has improved so much since the Shadow and Bone books, this duology is just brilliant. Constant twists and turns, action, excitement, comedy - do yourself a favour and read the Grishaverse books!

Returning to the Grishaverse and to my absolute favourite character: Nikolai! I really enjoyed reading more about his story, and following up on the stories of Nina and Zoya too. It's really interesting to see the impact of the events of Shadow and Bone on Ravka so many years later. This book was full of excitement and events I never would have predicted. Another great book by Leigh Bardugo!

THE BEST GRISHAVERSE BOOK. I do not have enough positive things to say about this book. Absolutely flawless. Leigh Bardugo, I love you.

Not to judge a book by its cover, but this is one of the prettiest books I own. This was such a nice read with super short chapters, each one focused on a different star. It was really interesting, and not overly technical at all. A great book!

I enjoyed this book so much! A nice, easy read perfect for a holiday (which is when I read it), with a beautiful storyline. Very relatable for people (like me) coming to the end of their PhD and wondering what on earth they are going to do next! The plot contains a nice blend of romance with the rest of the storyline, and it is really well written. Definitely recommend!
The Dinner Guest by B P Walter

I love a book where there are 2 narrators telling a different side to the story, and eventually the stories converge and the penny drops for the reader. This is a great example of this kind of writing, and I really enjoyed the book. A classic murder mystery/page turner, with a good finale.

A real page turner! This one kept me hooked throughout, and I was desperate to know how it was going to end. Lots of twists and turns, just like a mystery should have! A good read for any thriller/mystery fans.
