this was just cringey flirtatious ramblings that turned into a deep trauma dump and then turned cringe again. if it was more than 40 pages i wouldn’t have read it
love the way TJR writes. great character arch and growth for carrie. was thrilling and interesting even though i have never been too interested in tennis. i liked the intertextual references to TJRs other novels
good and emotional stories. a nice quick read. made me cry twice but not sob for ages. interesting concept and it was a good book but lacked the page turning appeal, i wasn’t addicted and didn’t love it. the first story was boring
such a good adventure, spicy, sad, beautifully written. i find some books are so bad at describing the action that goes on in a fight scene/the climax but SJM did it so well it was so easy to imagine. i love rys and feyre together. i hate tamlin so much. beautiful little family dynamic the night court has, v wholesome.
the author did a great job at trapping the reader inside the narrators psyche so i almost couldn’t consider my own morals and i just went along with what was written until i did a double take and was like wait wtf no that’s not my voice. the vocab is insane. the prose and imagery are beautiful. provokes philosophical discussion. powerful and feminine but also a great critique of modern wokeness. but also i felt like it didn’t have much plot. and then the main character went crazy and her actions were unrecognisable and rapey and then a random fire happened?? strange plot but amazingly written
good story, sad death of a loved character. sort of confused about the Janet and john storyline?? a good new addition to the series with a twist i didn’t predict.
