I did not expect to love this as much as I did. Some of the best written scenes I’ve encountered so far. And THANKFUL that there isn’t a single “velvet wrapped steel” or “apex of my thighs”.
I do feel like the conflict was a tad unexplored. The book definitely focused more on their relationship to each other. I feel it was more character driven than plot driven. But still couldn’t put it down, so freaking good. Definitely worth the read.

Oh gosh. So beautiful, heart breaking, and perfect. I’ll be honest, parts are difficult to read. I found myself closing the book for a minute dreading what was coming next. But the day after I finished I wanted to pick it up and read it again. I regretted reading it so quickly because I didn’t get to enjoy it as long.

The book was interesting, the characters complicated. I feel some weren’t as explored as others but all in all enjoyed the book.

When I first read it I probably would’ve given 3.5 stars. The rest of the series bumps the baby up a bit. This book is a bit more of a set up for the rest of the series, and the things I originally didn’t like about it definitely serve a purpose later on.
