I ate this shit up, y’all. Finished it in like 6 hours, could not stop, obsessed.
Love the growth. Love the mystery. The forbidden fruit aspect of it all.
Is it the most well written thing in the world? No. Are the scenes ground breaking. No. Would I die for this version of Persephone? Yes. Would I let this version of Hades step on my throat? Absolutely.

I was never fully sucked into the story. I didn’t fall in love with the characters and I wasn’t compelled to immediately pick up the next book in the series.
However, if 50 Shades of Grey is your vibe or you like a bad boy you can’t have this might be up your alley. I don’t think it’s a bad book, by any means. I just don’t think it did for me what the author intended it to do.

Ok, so this is cute. I did read it quickly & think it’s a fun little time. That said, I didn’t get the “why”. Why are things so complicated, why is there this conflict, I’m rooting for them but if feels like they are fighting themselves for literally no reasonS

I love the premise. I like that the story follows the daughter of the killer & goes over all that entails.
However, it reads like a prime time cable drama’s 11th season finale. The end sort of felt like let’s throw it all at the wall and see what sticks because we ran out ideas 6 season ago. The first 80% of the book has a pretty steady build and then the last like 50 pages just bombards you. I felt unsatisfied with the ending. Like it was both too much & unfinished.

If you like true crime it might be worth checking out for its interesting perspective. I honestly wouldn’t buy a physical copy of it but would probably recommend looking on Kindle.

A fun work place rivals, enemies to lovers situation. Had me feeling nostalgic for my school bus crush.

Didn’t finish and honestly couldn’t finish.
The Stockholm syndrome & honestly awful scenes were just too much. I felt like a snuff film.

Enemies to lovers is my shit. This is so freaking cute, fun and easy to read.
I think the “why” they’re forced together is a little silly. But the book is just a blast. I loved it

Katee has me in a chokehold

This woman knows how to write some smut, lemme tell ya. It was a fun read & a great option if you’re into praise.
