This book was very intriguing. I enjoyed the premise of the feminist movement.  I wasn’t expecting the book to be quite as horny as it was, but I should’ve considering the sex strike lol. But overall this book was very interesting and discusses a topic worth considering.

This was a very interesting stories that felt low stakes at the same time as feeling very high stakes. 

I actually don’t remember why I thought I should read this book. Dnf at 5% by no fault of the book, I’m just not sure how this book even got on my radar. 

I enjoy coming of age stories that feature female friendship, but I heard a lot of glowing reviews for this one and I was expecting to be blown away. I wasn’t. 

Made it 30% in and still didn’t care about the story. 

This wasn’t holding my attention. DNF at 34%

This book was touching. I’ve heard that this book is connected to another book but I had not read it and I don’t feel like I was confused or lacking context for this story. 

This story recounts a young man trying to man peace with the past as her reflects upon the strained relationship he had with his father. His sexuality or rather a lack of machismo seemed to be point of contention with his father and watching him audit his relationship with his parents via therapy sessions was very interesting. 

The narration was clear but I somehow imagined Isaac’s voice to be different.

I don’t think I ever truly settled into a groove with this book. It was short (and I usually appreciate short books) but I felt like it was trying to accomplish telling a big story in such a short book. I got confused about a 2/3 into the book and never found my footing again. Love the premise and elements of the story were so interesting, but it didn’t work for me. 

I enjoyed this book. This was a quick little romance set in the political world of dc that had a believable backstory and could you could root for. Also, loved seeing the discussions of UBI. 

Wow. This was like watching a very slow disaster play out.  Very good.
