Even if this book was very similar to many other books in this genre, I still loved it. I have to say though there was quite a lot of action and fighting scenes, and I feel like there shouldn't have been as much. The characters were great, but I think some developed too fast while others a little too slow. The bonds between the characters were really believable, and the flashbacks and dreams of Brooke were some of my favorite parts. I was hoping for a little bit more romance between Brooke and Ben, but maybe that will come in the next book in the series? I hope? I felt like there was an attempt at a love triangle by adding Logan, but I think that Brooke and Ben were better together from the start. Logan just kind of sprung up out of nowhere, while Ben was always going to be there because of leaving the deer years ago. Overall I enjoyed this book, and will be looking forward to the next book in this trilogy!

It took me a total of ten days to finish this book. I considered that it was a fair amount of time, considering that I normally don't read that kind of material on a daily basis.

Out of all of the literary classics that have been written that I have read, Jane Eyre has to have been my favorite. I rated it a 3/5 stars for a few reasons. One, the beginning was a little slow. This was something that I was expecting. Two, certain parts throughout the book got to be a bit boring. During those parts I felt the urge to skip right over those pages (although I did not). And third, I didn't like Mr. Rochester very well at all. Since he is one of the main characters, I felt that this was my main issue.

Mr. Rochester is an older man, with an odd personality. I thought that the couple's love for each other was a bit peculiar. The age difference was very large, which made it a little unrealistic. Jane Eyre was a likeable character, but was not my favorite out of all of them. She went through a lot during her childhood, and all I wanted was to see her do well and be happy during the story. At times she gets a little carries away thinking, which to me were where the most boring parts were. I had two favorite characters: Miss Adéle and Mrs. Fairfax. I liked them most because of how kind they were to Jane throughout her time at Thornfield Hall. Miss Adéle was adorable and you could see her love fof Jane expressed very clearly. Also Mrs. Fairfax's caring hospitality for Jane was very motherly, which made me like her.

Overall, I found Mr. Rochester's secret to be the most interesting part of the book. I was quite surprising and I found it refreshing that there was that small aspect of mystery in this classic. As a teen, I thought that the reading was bearable, but if anything a bit long. My favorite classic book as of yet.

When I went into this book I was looking for a fresh, light, summer read. That was just what I got! I liked this book a lot, but wasn't wowed by it.

I liked the characters more as I got into the book. Birdie was my favorite out of the three girls. She was also the most real and raw which was one of the reasons why I liked her so much. Leeda is what you think is the classic rich girl, but once you read into the book more you realize that that isn't all of who she is. I liked how she opened up to the two other girls throughout the story. Then there's Murphy. She's the one that acts like she's tough and everything is fine no matter what. The way that the three, very different, girls changed and formed friendships throughout the book was sweet, just like peaches! :)

Overall, this was a quick summer read! I loved reading about the friendships that were formed. I know that there are two other books in this series, but I'm not sure if I'll read them or not. I liked the way the author left the characters. I'm not one who likes to ruin a happy ending for them!

Although I didn’t like it as good as the first book, I thought that it was still good. It kept the story going, but wasn’t as exciting as I’d hoped.

SPOILER-FREE SERIES REVIEW:
I loved this series! I found out about it after the first two books had been released for a while. I am so glad that I picked this series up! The way that Mr. Scott writes all of the books draws you in to each chapter wanting to know what happens next. He writes each chaper, switching to different places and people for each new one. I read these all very quickly, and I really liked the way that he incorporated some history along with the fantasy aspects of the books.

I’d reccomend this series to those that like deep, intense reads with lots of fantasy. But make sure to be completely focused on the books while reading because there are tons of characters and events happening at the same time! Overall, fantastic series. I’m looking forward to more books from Mr. Scott!!

Unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy this book as much as I know I would have if the other books had been fresh in my mind. After I had gotten into the book more and started remembering past events clearer, I loved it!
