Unfortunately, I could not suspend belief enough to enjoy this book.

I'm not sure if it is the book or me, which is why I have gone with 1 star rather than no stars. I did not finish this book, I stopped reading at 39%.

Apologies, it just was not for me. I could not engage and stay interested and it was a little too far fetched for me. Didn't sit well having loved everything else Sherlock I've ever seen or read.

Unfortunately I could not finish this book. I could not get into it at all!

The narrative seems to just go on and on without any kind of definition, I'm not sure if i have any idea what was happening?

Unmemorable and not for me, sorry.

This book was considerably better than the previous one.

It seemed to have a much stronger plot with real character development and also a couple of twists!

M J Arlidge has gone and done it again, another fantastic book in this series!

I can’t believe it’s left me on such a cliffhanger! I love that the series, even now, is still incredibly unpredictable and is still just as gripping.

So I managed to get to 25 without reading any of the Harry Potter books. I decided to give the first one a go and I am happy to say I enjoyed it!

I’m not sure I’m on the same level as other people’s love for the series but I did enjoy it!

It was easy to read which is surprising and it had a strong story line throughout, leaving you wanting the next book.

I do struggle with fantasy and magic and letting my imagination go sometimes which is why I thought I wouldn’t get on with the series but so far so good...

This book was easy to read and entertaining! The writing styles was fun and light hearted!

It was interesting to follow Imogen and Lily’s lives along with their marriages, jobs, children and friendships.

In terms of feeling an attachment or really being invested in any of the characters, I didn’t really feel that with this book! Therefore it’s a 3 out of 5.

I’m aware I’m in the minority here...

Everything else I’ve read by JoJo Moyes I’ve loved, they’ve had me laughing and crying! This however,
just did not do it for me!

I’m very disappointed! I’m not sure why I didn’t enjoy it as much as everyone else?

I didn’t manage to feel a connection to any of the characters, I wasn’t invested and it just felt very flat!

The storyline seemed exceptionally one dimensional to me - maybe I didn’t get it?

Sorry JoJo!

This book seamlessly followed on from the previous one in the series! The same snappy chapters and writing style and continuation of character development!

This one however didn’t quite make it to a 5 star rating for me. I think it’s due to it being a little less relatable than the other books and a bit more unrealistic?

I was still invested in the characters and their overarching storylines but this one felt very predictable! Almost like it had to be written to plug the story line and take us to the next book...

Hopefully the next one is back up to a 5 star!
Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton

Embarrassingly, I didn't know who Dolly was before this book and therefore I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it.. Luckily, I really did. I read this over two evenings and boy if I could have stayed up to finish it without destroying my next day at work, I would have done.

From the very first page I was engaged. The writing style was perfect for the time of book, it was easy to read, nice to follow and very familiar. I did however, find myself skipping little bits of the book like the recipes or letters.

I could relate to Dolly in so many different ways throughout the book, it had me both laughing out loud and crying.

Despite the funniest and nonchalant outlook, it is clear that Dolly dealt with Grief and other loss. This is never dismissed and it highlights beautifully both sides of the coin.

This wonderful book is for anyone, literally anyone. It will either be so familiar it hurts your head or it'll open you up to a different perspective. Either way, I would recommend.
Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty

This book was not for me, I didn’t find it gripping or interesting contrary to all the comments and quotes covering the book itself.

I felt no attachment whatsoever to any of the characters and it felt like it could have been 200 pages shorter. It was SOOOO slow and tedious.

Where Moriarty has tried to build up suspense, she’s ended up annoying me. It clearly just wasn’t my cup of tea. Sorry!

I would not recommend this book!
