Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
3.0
This book has twists and turns and I did enjoy it...However, I am not convinced that it needed to be this long?! Which doesn’t bode well for the rest of the series!
The book was for the most part, engaging and had a strong story line.

I love the idea behind this book, the entire premise and spooky nature of it. The first third of the story was gripping and captivating, had me guessing.
The rest of the book though, in my opinion was executed very poorly. The "suspense building" parts became too much and the unavailing of who it was, felt anticlimactic and unrealistic.
I also did not enjoy the ending, at all!
Not a truly awful book but by no means a great book. 2.5/5 rounded up to 3 on goodreads.

A Winter's Tale by Trisha Ashley

This book was a nice cosy read. It flowed nicely and was written well!
I enjoyed it but didn’t feel I needed to pick it back up again each time. I felt there was an awful lot that could have been cut out and that detracted from the main story!
Would recommend for an easy read!

No Judgments by Meg Cabot

This book was easy to read and had a good flow!
It felt at times that it didn’t have the most substance and there could be a little more going on? It was just light hearted goodness with a classic ending.
Not spectacular but perfectly pleasant.

Sleigh Rides and Silver Bells at the Christmas Fair by Heidi Swain

Not a fan a of them title but that pushed to one side.... it is a lovely cosy winter read, written beautifully!
It flowed very easily and I enjoyed every page! I got very invested in all the characters and what was happening!
There is enough going on to keep you interested throughout and isn’t too one dimensional which I sometimes find with the genre... I would recommend!

I read this book in one day. It was exceptional easy to read and flowed very well.
I grew attached the the characters very easily and was invested in the story. It was however, slightly one dimensional and there were a few things that happened that were unrealistic or had my rolling my eyes.
A perfectly good way to spend a Sunday though! Would recommend if you usually enjoy this genre.

This was a cute and heartwarming story. It was a easy flowing story using the right language and balance of serious topics.

This book was easy enough to read but I didn’t grip me... I wasn’t really invested in what was happening. I also didn’t like a lot of the characters! There were a fair few different story lines and flash backs which crowded the main story a bit for me.
It wasn’t a bad book but it also wasn’t a good book?

A Christmas Cracker by Trisha Ashley

I read this book in one sitting. It was very easy to read and Trisha has a wonderful style. I really enjoyed the characters and the jokes at the beginning of each chapter. I felt an attachment to the characters also as the story had a bit of depth to it! I was Invested in the main character and what happened to her, which is always good!
However, it did feel like there was lots of unnecessary padding throughout with the ending, the complete opposite. The ending felt like a whirlwind which rattled to a very abrupt conclusion!
Overall I did enjoy the book but for the above reasons it’s a 3/5!

The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda

This is the first book I’ve read by Megan Miranda so j like everyone else (it seems) I didn’t have any expectations following a previous book.
This story’s writing style was a bit hit and miss for me. Sections of it were gripping and had me wanting to read on and others we’ve very dreary.
I felt the entire book was building (albeit slowly) to a conclusion and it ended in a very anti-climatic way! I don’t feel everything was tied up and I don’t feel satisfied, sorry.
