This audiobook was so much fun! 

I flew through this in one day! I’m not surprised as Cate does it every time for me and this one was no different. I loved the twist on the Cinderella story with her falling for the stepsister! In true Cate fashion there had to be a club of sorts involved, but this time it an auction. The events at the auction were spicy and it only got spicer from there. Although short so the story happened fast I enjoyed the relationship between the three of them. There was a lot of push and pull and letting go to allow for your true self. Ultimately this was a slay for me! 

Ever since we were first introduced to Aegir, I was so excited to get the rakish Orca’s story and this one did not disappoint. One of my favorite parts about this book was how much more of the world we get to hear about and explore! This one definitely had some darker elements but like the others in the series it was cozy and filled with side characters we have seen before! 

I enjoyed the push and pull of control within Elspeth and Aegirs relationship as they are trying to figure out themselves and what they want. I loved how much of a sod Aegir became for her and him giving up control to allow her to feel comfortable. It also didn’t hurt that he was able to shape shift all parts of himself! I think these two are perfect for each other and cannot wait to see them pop up again as side characters and what is going to happen next. 

loved being back in this world! We got to see some cameos from characters from other books as well as got some fun monsters creature features! We get to see the gritty “underworld” of the mafia with lots of darkness and gore. 

I enjoyed that we got a FMC who has a bit of rage and a darker side herself. Amelia relationship with Knox was lots of fun! I was such a fan of the primal play and him giving her a collar was just *chefs kiss*

I hope it isn’t the last time we see these two because with the way that ended I need to know what it all means.
