Ali Hazelwood has a new fan, and I need to find me a Lukas Blomqvist. I loved how she wrote the power exchange dynamic. it was perfect.

I've had my copy of this book since it's relase and am only just now reading it. I can't believe I waited this long!!! this is such a strong start to the series; I cannot wait to dive into Chasm!! 
I loved McEwan's tone—somber and dark while also gritty and determined. Dawsyn was an awesome character and I love her rage!!! more rage like this please!!! Ryon was a fun love interest, I love that he fell first. 
the final battle felt a teeny bit anticlimactic for me but it was still exciting!

this was good, but I found the twists to be too predictable and I had trouble rooting for the couples. the romance moved a bit too fast for me. I did enjoy the writing and the character's voices, though

this was such a strong sequel! I was a little confused at times but I think this was mostly because I was listening to the audiobook and I can zone out easily. I thought the mystery was very well executed and I loved Ophelia and Thorn's development!
