Wish I Were Here by Melissa Wiesner

Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the DRC of Wish I Were Here. All opinions in this review are my own.
Normally I love books that have a touch of magic and a cast of quirky side characters, but I struggled to feel invested in this one. I loved The Second Chance Year by the same author so I went in with high expectations. I was also expecting this one to be more of a romance than it was.

I liked the premise of this book and that it is about a witch who doesn't have her magic yet, but unfortunately, I had a hard time getting into it. The romance itself is cute but I was expecting Delia to get powers before the halfway point and was disappointed when it took so long to get there since it made the actual magic portion of the book feel so short.

Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the DRC of All The Water In The World! All opinions in this review are my own.
I felt like this one had all of the stress of reading a dystopian book but hardly any of the action. It was slow start and I didn't love how every obstacle the characters faced seemed to be easily overcome.

Thank you Grand Central Publishing and NetGalley for the DRC of I Might Be In Trouble! All opinions in this review are my own.
Much like Weekend at Bernie's, the first part if I Might Be In Trouble is full of dark humor and chaotic misadventures. While it does take Part 2 a little while to connect to the events in Part 1, it is worth it. I didn't love the ending, but I do recognize that the situation makes it difficult to have a satisfying ending.
Love in Bloom by Lucy Eden

Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the DRC of Love in Bloom! All opinions in this review are my own.
The premise of Love in Bloom is really fun and it is easy to fall in love with the cast of characters in this small town! I didn't love the time jumps because it made Emma and Dan's relationship feel like instalove at times (even though it wasn't).

Thank you Forever and NetGalley for the DRC of Duchess Material! All opinions in this review are my own.
While I am a newer Emily Sullivan, Duchess Material once again proves why I fell in love with her books in the first place! I love the romance between Phoebe and William, especially since they have a history prior to the book starting. I hope this becomes a series because there are a few side characters that deserve their own romances as well!

Thank you Mindy's Book Studio and NetGalley for the DRC of Drop Dead Sisters! All opinions in this review are my own.
Drop Dead Sisters is perfect for fans of the Finlay Donovan series! Although the mystery is messy and the characters make terrible choices throughout it, at its heart, Drop Dead Sisters is a dark humor story about a family sticking together no matter what. I enjoyed the writing style and I look forward to the next book in the series!
